These bars have the heft to support far more than our weight, and their mounting flanges are well-designed -- use any 2 of 5 holes to hit the studs. But this is not for the beginner, b/c only stud-mounting is safe, and the studs are behind the sheet-rock or maybe tile. The stainless steel means once they are in they will last.

I have used these products before and find them very good at a reasonable price. Sometimes, the screw cover is a little tricky to get to stay on, but can usually be worked out.

One of the covers for the installation brackets did not "snap" over the installation bracket; required hitting it with a hammer resulting in denting the cover.

Looks good in shower. Delivery/pickup was quick from store. Only problem was drilling holes in the ceramic tile.

As long as you get them mounted into a wall stud, they will be extreemly sturdy. Only takes 2 of the 3 holes on each end to screw into stud. With 2 screws on each end, its not going anywhere.

Good Product but could use more options for installation. Since the base is so much bigger than the stud its attaching to, perhaps more screw patterns would make installation easier.

I installed the grab bar on a tiled bath tub wall. I did not use the stainless screws since my fastners (molly bolts) were used on a hollow wall. If you use screws into a stud, just make pilot holes and you will have no problem. I do not recommend brass screws- they are softer than stainless steel screws. If you want a super sturdy attachment on a hollow wall use wingits (google this). If you are drilling into tile, it is worth the money to buy a drill bit made to drill through tile- not an ordinary masonary bit. Mark your holes using the grab bar plate as a template but start the holes about 1/4 inch in toward the center if you are using molly bolts. Otherwise the holes may go beyond the cover plate. Note- for molly bolts you will need a large enough hole to fit the molly bolt into the wall.

product included 2" stainless screws which are too soft to drive in, and then will also not turn out. So had to use strong pliers to finally get them out, 1/4 turn at a time.So replaced with brass screws, no problem, but then found that the plates over the ends do not fit snugly to the wall.Unsatisfactory.

Nice stainless finish that matches other stainless. I did caulk all around the left and right supports to keep the water out. I am a 70 yr. old woman and had not trouble installing this.

This is the third purchase for a grab bar in the bathtub/shower. It mounted easily with the included instructions and hardware. I do have a qualm with the hardness of the stainless steel screws..even with a pilot hole pre-drilled and body torque against the screw, one screw managed to strip the Phillips head. Very soft metal! Fortunately, the unit is still very strong minus the one screw. A stud finder is essential in locating the studs!

It does have to be screwed into studs . Make sure to set it for the height of the person needing it.

I needed a grab rail for the lower stairs in my bi-level house for my Mother-in-Law with a bad knee. She loves this rail and feels secure climbing up and down the stairs again. It was easy to install. I would highly recommend you get this model with the concealed fasteners since I was only able to put 2 screws on each end into the studs, and this way the extra holes are covered and it looks good. Two screws on each end into the studs are more than adequate for a secure installation.

Easy installation. Be aware that the grab bar needs to be attached to studs or use a "grab bar" installation anchor kit.

Great product that is quite sturdy. I use it for exercise with resistance bands and it more than does the job. It only has three screw holes for each end but still bears weight well as long as you can attach it to studs.

Great product. It has five screw holes. I actually use this for exercise purposes and hang gym rings from it. It functions well and holds my entire body weight. The price cannot be beat.
