"I thought it was a normal monitor when I bought it for 199.99$. I recently got a Dell 23 in for the same price and size; it made me realize how great this monitor really is. The contrast ratio is very good, much better than the Dell. It was easy to set up, etc. Has a cool power button.Best monitor for the money hands down. Not only would I recommend this to a friend, I already have."

"I like it, but there is obviously something wrong...while in the middle of writing an email, about a week after I got it, it turned off. I didn't think much of it and then I was retouching some pics later that evening and it did it again. Turned it back on and it shut right back off. It has continued to do this for a couple of days now so we will be returning it to the store this weekend."

by drm55 from Decatur, AL on August 30, 2009 at Best Buy"I was using a 15" LCD Monitor that was several years old. I enjoy playing Call of Duty World at War and the Brothers in Arms series. This monitor really makes you feel like you are there. It worked as soon as I plugged it in and the controls were easy to use. I had to go back and get a DVI cable to get the best picture."

by Loren74 from Battle Creek, MI on August 17, 2009 at Best Buy"While the monitor looked great as soon as my computer went into standby the monitor wouldn't wake coming out. I tried unplugging and replugging both the power and monitor cables to no avail. The only way to make the monitor wake up was to power off and on my computer. Since I couldn't see the screen I pressed the power button for five seconds. The third time I did this it fried the boot sector on my hard drive and I couldn't restore it. I had to buy a new hard drive. I tried the monitor with another computer and had the same problem but my other monitors worked fine with both of them. I called LG support on Saturday and a live person told me they didn't support monitors on the weekend. I told him I was returning it and buying a different brand. I don't like the controls on the side because I cannot find the right buttons when it is in my desk. The menu button would make the monitor wake for a second and then go back to sleep. I returned it for the cheaper ACER monitor and I"m very happy with it. The controls are lit on the front panel. It looks great and wakes up just fine."

by Jeffmck from Seattle, WA on August 16, 2009 at Best Buy"So, I've had the monitor for 2 days and I'm definitely sticking with it. I was starting to get down about the base when I realized that if consumers want a nice monitor for $200 you're going to have to sacrifice something and it's the base. I have run Crysis, L4D, HL2-Ep 2, and after messing with the settings for how I like things, I LOVE this monitor. Crisp, fluid graphics, excellent contrast, bright and colorful image. I will also be using this monitor for photo enhancing and trust the color very much. So, stop whining about cheap bases; we all want an inexpensive, quality monitor for about $200 and this is the one. Go buy it... You won't be disappointed. Oh and shake, I'm using a card table and it isn't as bad as they say."

by LiquidFlame from De Forest, WI on August 14, 2009 at Best Buy"After using a 17" CRT for years I figured that I could use a new monitor. I did some reading through reviews, articles, statistics, and user feedback for months before finally deciding which one was best. Though I heard good things about LG products, I never expected to buy this one. But I'm glad I did.Out of the box, it had no dead pixels, ghosting issues, or backlight bleed. After stepping up from that old 17", this thing is MASSIVE. I can fit 4 windows at once on the screen. It definitely booted my productivity. The design is great, and some of my friends have actually mistaken it for a HDTV. The only flaw I can see is the stand. It's stable enough to hold the monitor, but if I bump my desk or keyboard it will shake. Assembling the monitor was easy, just unwrap everything, connect the cables, and attach the stand. I also like the power button sensor, it's pretty neat. As for the menus, In my opinion they are simple and quick to use. Otherwise, the picture is brilliant, and I'm not even using it in full 1080p!If your in need for a big, high quality widescreen monitor (and to clarify it is pretty wide) for under $250, you've found it. I got mine for $210 plus tax. That's a steal in my book. I also recommend you buy it from Best Buy, the service is incredible. (They even moved the entire monitor display around for me just so I could compare two of them side by side!)I am satisfied.5/5.BUY IT."

by btrotter from Ames, IA on July 27, 2009 at Best Buy"I honestly have a cheaper desk, but my old LG L1920Ps had a nice hefty stand and didn't wiggle even a tad, these two new W2361's are like bobblehead dolls. I frankly hate the stands, so I thought, gee I'll just have to buy one of those expensive monitor trees for the two of them only to find no VESA mounts! To add insult to injury, the wiggling seems to be causing my power cables to fall out on occasion if I don't press them in extremely firmly. And to put salt in the wound, no DVI cables were included like the old days. LG has been a favorite brand of mine for a long time, my L1920's are still going strong after several years and my wife's 2-year old 24" is great, but they seriously cheaped out on this model.Once you dial down brightness, gamma, and color space, (50/50/-50,sRGB here, first day of ownership) things look very very nice, but every tap on my keyboard makes these two screens dance like a hula girl and while my desk is partly to blame, I am comparing against the older LG screens that never bothered me at all.So in summary- great physical panels, but if your desk isn't solid oak or hefty cubicle, you may not be very happy and will be stuck with the stock stands.I am reluctantly considering returning and switching to another brand."

Full HD, HDMI input, high contrast and low response time. Also has a nice feature set for picture adjustment, zooming, photo effect and more. Could not be happier."

by Seeker2 from Massachusetts on July 20, 2009 at Best Buy"First and foremost, becareful of the model number differences. There are two models, one has a G (glare) and the other doesn't. They did not have both on display at my local Best Buy, so I didn't know. The one on display was the anti glare model which I liked, but I ended up picking the wrong box. When I got it home and set up, I saw that it was the glare model and my eyes just couldn't take it. I ended up giving it to my son and I went back to get the anti glare model. This monitor is great. I didn't have to make many adjustments to suit my viewing. Was pretty much plug and play on Windows 7 RC.What really sets this monitor apart from any other I have owned is the HD (1920 X 1080). I played a BlueRay movie and I was blown away. It is better than my 42" HD TV.As I suggest to everyone in the market for a monitor, speakers, or anything like that, is to go out and compare if you can. Viewing and listening is a very personal thing and a little leg work will go along way to your satisfaction with your purchase. However, if you can't do that leg work, I have no problem at all with suggesting this monitor as your choice.Lastly, and as I wrote above, please be sure which model you are choosing. It could save you from having to make a return."

by Lorraine888 from Hampton, VA on July 15, 2009 at Best Buy"Bright, clear display, easy to adjust controls for contrast /brightness on the side of the monitor and out of the way, clean design so it looks good on your desktop, easy touch power button that pulses when in sleep mode, so you don't forget to turn it off for the night. And a great price."
