Most Helpful Positive Review:

Definitely an excellent choice on my part!5 star rating

"The Epson Stylus NX415 was an excellent choice of printer on my part. I went from having a horrible abomination known as an HP PSC-1210 and a fussy Canon BJC-4300, to this. This printer is very easy on the eyes, is packed with really nice features like an LCD screen, card readers, copier, and scanner. The menus are all very easy to figure out, the manual touches up on everything but I noticed it doesn't explain the purpose of the USB port located on the front of the printer. The build quality is excellent, printer doesn't creak or squeak. The print quality is absolutely amazing for an inkjet and ink consumption is very nice on this printer. The ink for it is easy to find and not expensive at all compared to other ink types. Setting up the printer is a snap and I was digging the print speed when printing out long projects made of text. I also like the photo editor the printer has. My only complaints which are minor is that it is sometimes slow to turn on, you have to prime it which uses ink, and like I mentioned above, the front USB port isn't explained. All those problems are minor. My old printer the HP committed suicide I swear and the Canon never worked right and when it did gave mediocre quality prints. Having a printer that actually works and does a better job than I anticipated is very nice for a change."

Not all I was hoping for...3 star rating

"The printer looks good and sounded to be an awesome deal for the features. Unfortunately, after getting it connected to my Macbook, it does not print double sided like advertised, It eats all color ink even when on Black & white setting and goes through ink like CRAZY. It takes a rather long time to prime when starting up, and uses ink everytime it primes. It also has a tight enclosure for the USB cable, so I had to find an older cable with a square grip around the jack to get it to fit into the space, very annoying and inconvenient. It didn't live up to expectation and I am disappointed in my purchase."

  • Fast and crisp printer4 star rating

"Epson's are notorious for a lot of racket when the paper feeds but this model has a "quiet" mode in the printer options, which runs fairly quiet. Print quality was excellent, and fast. Scan quality was great and Epson's scanning software lets you scan to all sorts of file types, and gives the added option of scanning multiple page documents to PDF. The printer output tray has a stop to keep the paper from falling off the tray -- a plus when you're printing a lot of pages. I replaced a C88 with this, and overall it's a great printer for a hundred bucks."

"This printer is very noisy and it grabs the paper, very hard to hookup USB cable is on side, awkward positioning. Does not transmit photos properly to computer, cuts off bottom of photo, no matter where it it placed on scanner"

"Overall, I like it. I bought it because I had an Epson before and I still had four brand new ink cartridges for my old printer/scanner/copier. It's not the printer that will put you in the poor house but purchasing the ink will definitely eat through your cash. So, I went with a printer/scanner/copier that fit the inks that I already had. It's basically an updated version of the Epson I had previously. The price was really good (I think with shipping and tax I paid $65.) and I knew I would have the ink already in hand. Other than the paper not running through perfectly all the time, I think it's great. **This could be the result of the paper rather than the printer, but it's my only complaint.**"
