As electronics become ever more complex and expensive, consumers are returning them at increasingly higher annual rates. In 2011, Accenture reported that returns a consumer electronics totaled  $16.7 billion. And returns aren’t just frustrating for shoppers. They are also an expensive problem for the retailer. So what can retailers and manufacturers do to curb the return rampage?
