It’s been an exciting week here at Milo.com! Yesterday, we introduced a feature that brings hundreds of thousands of local sale prices online, so you can search for sales in your actual neighborhood. It’s a great way to save money on what you want to buy and be able to get it in-hand right away.
We also launched a redesign of the site to make it easier than ever for you to search the inventories of your local stores, find the best deals per category and even find that perfect energy-friendly appliance to take advantage of the government’s rebate program.
We’re also continually working to improve the user experience as well as add more stores (we’re at 48,000) and more products (we now have over 2 million!). In the meantime, it’s a sunny day here in Palo Alto so we’re off to the dog park. If you have time, let us know what you think of our new look and our new features.
Life’s a ball!

Speaking of industry trends I wonder about the recently released study that states “These companies have been profitable for their owners and shareholders not only while being profitable for their employees, but because they have been profitable for their employees? Jody Heymann, the study?s author, said in a release. ?These firms have been able to do this for a simple reason. How work is structured, how it is rewarded, and how workplaces encourage employee engagement are all central to the profitability of firms and to the quality of the daily lives of working men and women. Employees determine 90 percent of most businesses? profitability.?Makes me wonder If this Harvard study will ever get any traction. The real problem is finding managers that know what their employees should do and be able to communicate this. On another note any one out there know anything about this http://www.best-americanbusiness.com/ The review I read said that they plan to make it the wiki of American businesses. Wondered If anyone out there knows any thing more about them.
