This is a very well made weight set, it's got the right feel to it, the material of it is great, the weights are a very good fit for the "Weider Pro 390 L Weight Bench" because of the leg feature, it's got the right size for the attached of the weight for the bar. The only part to it when I got it were the extra metal smudges that were in the hole part, we were able to resolve it by filing it down with a metal filer, but I believe that the company could look out next time for when that happens so that it can be prevented. Other than that, it's a really great product. What I like about it so much is it's got almost the same structure as the bars that I used to use at my high school for my P.E. or fitness classes.

Bought this for my son 18 months ago. He only presses 180 lbs, but the bar now has a bend in it. Spoke with Sears, as well as Weider, but both only say 90 day warrenty. Bar shouldn't bend with significantly less weight than even came with it. Now have to buy a new bar (not Weider). Would never buy from them again. Poor quality and don't stand by their product.

I have these weights and i add to them every chance i get. When they are on sale. The weider weights are very nice and the bar is well balanced ... I got the curl bar as well and love it.

If you are starting out with an olympic bench and weight sets, this is the one you should get. You can't beat the price at $139.00 (with local store discounts). There are other 210lb and 300lb sets that go for more than $300-$350. But this is the best value out there. The bar is excellent. The weights are pretty good though they are not as smooth as they are advertised, Overall well worth the money for a home gym.

I just got this set. I unpacked it and the weights look sturdy so I'm going to go ahead and recommend this to everyone else who wanted it. Its a great buy at $129.99. Sears staff also allowed me to purchase it at sale price 1 day after the sale, but it required many phone calls to the store. Great buy!

The Olympic bar is good quality, have not had any problems with the chrome coming off, weights are good quality smooth finish no chipping. The price is excellent, I could not find a used set for this price?! I was able to get a set of dumbells along with the weight set all for around $160 including another pair of dumbells for my wife? Excellent deal!!! Highly recommend!!!

purchased 1st weight set back in the 80's, cast iron,standard and still have them, just passed on to my children. purchased this set in March 07 and love it, feel the burn. recommended it to friends and they have made same purchase. To those trying to decide... DO IT !!!

I bought this weight set before Christmas (2006) and has been a great weight set. Weights slide off-on easily, and the built in handles make weights easy to move/load. The rubber is durable, and protects plates and things plates come in contact with. Also, makes working out vey quiet. Highly Recommend. (specially when its on sale)

Overall it's a great starting set, eventually when you're able to lift more you can always add on the set. I love it forget what that other person said about it.
