    I've been feeding this seed for several years and it does a great job attracting finches. This year I have a large flock of goldfinches feeding in my backyard. It's great fun watching these pretty yellow birds.

    I have purchased nyjer seed ( thistle) from a number of sources over the years and I find this, particularly in a large package, to be as good as any and reasonably priced. In addition to the variety of finches, we have been able to attract a wide variety of doves with nyjer seed (they usually prefer sun flower seed) including an extremely rare (for our area) white wing dove.

    This is expensive seed, but, so worth the cost when you see one to eight beautiful Goldfinches perched on the feeder.This feeder even has Cardinals!!! trying to get the seed. I will always have Nyjer seed ready.

    Thistle seed is thistle seed right? That's what I thought. But this Wagner's stuff changed my mind. I needed some bad so I paid a little more and boy am I glad. I love Gold Finches and now I get a lot more.
