I would not recommend getting these i bought these and they lasted be about 3 weeks not even a month, and when i talk into the mic it buzzes so all my friends can't even understand what I'm saying, and whats really upsetting is i think i threw away the box so i can't return them.

Don't waste your money. Less than two weeks after I purchased this headset, the cheap plastic they used to make this thing snapped. And this wasn't even the biggest issue I had. When I went to best buy to exchange it for another one I was turned down. Was told that I would have to take it up with Turtle Beach. So after hours of being on the phone, Turtle Beach denied me as well. Absolutely terrible. Best Buy doesn't back the products that they sell, and neither does Turtle Beach. If you want a headache, by all means, purchase this product.

Having been completely dissatisfied with another brand of gaming headphones I gave this set a try. The sound quality is very good. The ability to adjust the chat volume relative to the in game sound works very well and online friends say the voice quality of the mic is excellent, even when I whisper to keep from waking the kids. The only thing I'd change is the connection method. They pretty much can't be used for anything else and depending on how your AV/Gaming gear is arranged, it might be a big pain to connect them.

This headset is everything a 360 player could need. It has adjustable controls to set the voice and game volume just right, the headset is comfortable, and the wire is long enough to make sure no one will be tripped by the taught wire. The quality of both game and voice quality is fantastic, and I haven't heard any complaints about how I sound on the other end. And all for the great price, there isn't anything more needed.

work good, but is uncomfortable on top of head. also they constantly leak a purple die around your ears!!! unless u wanna have to clean off purple dye around ur ears after every use then dont buy these!!!

Bought these last September and the left earphone went out, same as the pair I bought previously. Sent them back to the manufacturer under their warranty, got them back and the left side was crackly sounding and now they went out completely. Won't purchase again.

I bought these in April of 2012 and used them about 3 times a week. It's now the end of November and the right speaker has stopped working completely. This shouldn't happen to a $40 pair of headphones..... I have had cheap ones that have lasted for years and these haven't lasted close to a year yet.... Sad part is, I can't find the box now and the turtle beach website has not been very helpful in helping me get them fixed. I would definitely NOT recommend you buy these headphones!! What a headache....

This was a great headset while it lasted. I have had my XL1 for about a couple of weeks and they worked fine. But one day I went to go play cod mw3 and there was no sound. But if I moved my head just right then I could hear the game. And when I went to plug in the talk back cable the voices were dimmed and barely undestandible even when the chat voulum was all the way up

I got these for $30 on sale and while I am not completely disappointed the sound could be better. For the price it's not too bad of a buy considering xbox wants $15 for their lame chat headset. I would say if you are looking for something better than the standard chat headset but don't quite have enough money for something better than for the price range these are a pretty good deal.

These have the capability to produce the sound quality of more expensive headsets. Too bad, Turtle beach cheaply manufactured them! Mine lasted all of 2 weeks as the right-side earphone went out. This was under low use as well. Get a protection plan if you can! *After playing another week, the jack broke off from the cord as I was disconnecting them from the TV. You get what you pay for.

Breaks in about 4 months. I would just put in another $20 to buy a better headset like the Turtle Beach X12. They also work well if its your first time buying a headset for gaming.

I bought these 8/25/12 and they still work.The only problem I ran into was the sound quality,its not better than previous headsets I owned.The bass is taken out of these models,so it sounds muffled when bass drops.Talking to your friends is pretty clear.It has a plain design nothing really special.Their pretty comfortable for me.For a mere $40 I say their good,not great for money.

I thought that this headset was going to be mediocre at best. But when I plugged this bad boy in to play Deus Ex Human Evolution... I was blown away by the sound quality and all of the other sounds that my TV never picked up. Buy this!!! I have no idea why some one would blow over $100 on the more expensive ones. I'm not a hard-core gamer, but this is the best purchase on headphones that I ever made...

I would recommend this for your first Turtle Beach headset. It sounds great, everything is clear. It's a good price for a headset of this type. But I would definitely suggest getting a wireless one later on. The cords (like most cords) get easily tangled. It can even become confusing to untangle due to the fact that it requires three cords to be attached (one to the console, one to the main port where you can adjust volume, and one to your controller). It can also (in my experience) be difficult. I wouldn't be able to hear my friends talking in the party and I have to unplug and replug the cord multiple times before it works again. Other than that, it's a fairly good headset.

I Purchased a XL1 headset from BestBuy approx. 4 months ago and about a month ago the right side sound stopped working I was able to trace out the problem to a broken wire in the cable that runs from the headset to the vol. control box I am very disappointed with the quality of the product, This product was not abused in any way in fact I made sure of gentle use due to the price. I cannot recommend this product to anyone. save your money buy from another manufacturer.

I've been using these for about a month now. I am thoroughly satisfied with this headset. The sounds that come out of them are seriously good. I used to play with just the sound that comes out of the TV, but, using this headset, the games have become more alive. You can hear things that you couldn't hear on the TV! I completely recommend these to anyone who just use the TV speakers. Trust me, you will hear all the sounds the games make. They are also good because you can crank the volume loud on the headset when the family is sleeping, you wont wake them up!

This was my first turtle beach headset and a good starter one, admittedly. Although cheap, this headset is HEAVILY prone to breaking within a short period of time. The sound is okay, but there is a buzzing in the background when the controller is connected by a wired means to the Console itself, as I've learned to expect from turtle beach headset. All in all, I would only recommend this to a first time turtle beach buyer.

The headset was always a pain with inconsistent audio and mediocre comfort. It didn't last long and stopped working gradually with less than a year of occasional use. I can't believe that you have to spend $60 for a decent headset from Turtle Beach.

Great for online call of duty gameplay. You can actually hear which side the gun fire and explosions are and communication is great with the other players. I would highly recommend this head set or any of the turtle beach head sets.
