This seemed like a great product and fit my 2005 Chevy Venture side rails with no issues however we had to return the product because it was missing pieces. I had to drive 50 miles from my home to get these in stock and pick up same day for a trip to Grandma's house for Thanksgiving. Would have been a great product had all the peices been there. We had to exchange it for a different brand (luckly they had another brand that works with my vehicle in stock).

I own the product and the factory installed rails are to thick for the locking system. However, the product does work beautifully for our 2002 Honda Odyssey van.

This seems like a good product at a very good price, but it does not fit on my 2004 GMC Yukon. The cross bars are not long enough.

I can't believe Sears sells this item for less than the actual manufacturer. Its a great price for these rails. I will tell you not to let Sears talk you into installing this item. It was a total waste of money. They charged $30 for install of the cross rails, I could have done it myself. And to top it off they installed them wrong, and I had to have them adjusted. I could have lost all of my items in the carrier that was attached! Do it yourself!!!

this is basically the same system the thule sells on their own website and through outdoor retailers for about $200. we recently downsized from a lincoln navigator to a cadillac srx and decided to use a roof rack to make up for the lost storage. if you're gonna buy a roof rack, the two best options are thule or yakima and they're priced about the same. only the thule system is availble through sears for $150! i was worried about this fitting my new srx, so i purchased it in the store, went right out to the parking lot and installed it in about 20 minutes to make sure this "universal system" correctly fit my car's factory roof rails...i was going to take it right back if not. well, it fit like a champ. all the pieces are plastic-coated to prevent it from scratching up your car. i know from owning a previous thule rack about 15 years ago, that this coating is durable and will take the abuse of regular, normal use. as another reviewer mentioned, there is a noticeable "whistling" noise when the rack has nothing loaded on it. we noticed it when we hit about 60 mph -- below that speed, there was no noise. however, once we loaded up the rack with a couple of large boxes from ikea, there was no whistling noise. thule sells a fairing kit that i'm guessing would reduce the noise if it really bothers you that much. bottom line: this is a great system for a greater price. if you're tired of scouring craigslist to find a good priced used rack in decent shape with all the necessary hardware, then stop wasting your time and just by this one!

Looked at the Nissan equipment and it not only cost more than the Thule equipment from Sears but the Nissan equipment offered no additional features over the Thule Railing Rack. It was very easy to install. All that was needede was a tape measure to insure the front to back locations. And it is easy to take off ... if you really want to... but then... Why would you want to? It is there all the time ready to accept any roof equipment that needs to be mounted.

Even though these railings were easy to install and served their purpose, they created a whistling noise while on the highway that wasn't present before their installation. Kind of pricey for the amount of product you get.

My experience in buying this Thule rack was triple bad news. First, the unit is described as a universal fit, yet it didn't fit on my 2009 Ford Flex. I made every effort to find out ahead of time if it would work including asking for dimensions (not available), an application guide (also not available) and talking to a sales agent who said it would fit. Second, I asked for expedited shippment because I had a tight deadline. Although It arrived a day late, the Sears agent said they were not responsible and they would not help me with a refund. Later UPS said I needed to talk to Sears! Finally, the kit was obviously used and was lacking 5 critical parts. I can't think of ever having a worse shopping experience.
