I seal a couple dozen envelopes a day at my job, and the new envelopes I got taste terrible! Went to Staples, the options for envelope moisteners were limited to two kinds: this one, which I bought, or a 4 pack of prefilled tubes that look a lot like bingo stampers. I didn't really want 4, so i bought the cheap one. dispensed way too much water, and after about the 4th envelope the sponge came off and was no longer usable. total waste of money and time.

the only bad thing I would say about this product is it can leak to much water, but I wipe off the excess and problem solved.

Releases too much liquid, making the envelope too wet to stick.

We have never had an issue with these in the past but this batch was horrible. The sponges fell off after hardly any use and the entire case we received was no good.

I wanted to purchase pre-filled envelope moisteners for use at work. I have used products in the past that even have a bit of adhesive in the fluid, which really helps secure envelope flaps. Unfortunately, I could not find such a product at Staples. All I could find was this 2 ounce, refillable bottle with a sponge applicator on top. I figured, why not? It must serve the same purpose...I was a bit mistaken. While this product was inexpensive and is convenient to use, it dispenses far too much water. I often wind up with puddles on the envelope I want to seal, rendering it almost useless. This product works in a pinch, but if you have other options, use them!

I'm not sure that you can use up 400 characters commenting on a small teal blue , plastic bottle that you only put about two (2) ounces of water into before you put on the small yellow twist top with the yellow sponge attached to it. However, I have decided to give it the "old-college-effort" (so-to-speak) and figure out whether or not it can be done without being repetitive, and it looks like I'm getting pretty close to that number, so in closing, I will just add that it would be best if you did not stick a pin in the side of the bottle, unless you want it to leak all over your desk and make a mess. How did I do?

Makes moistening lots of envelopes a snap. Though be careful as the water comes out a wee bit fast (even when not squeezing). Well worth the couple bucks though!

Bad quality, bottle leaked constantly and would get liquid all over envelope. Sponge tip wore out quickly and would leave pieces on envelope. Had to buy another brand. Wouldn't recommend.

Picked this up so I wouldn't have to lick about 35 Christmas card envelopes, and it worked great! Handy little thing to have around.

Using this sure beats licking envelopes or using a dampened sponge to seat the envelopes.

Used for moistening envelopes for a mass mailing. Was a real hit since it replaced having to moisten the envelopes the old-fashioned way... by licking. The distribution of water through the sponge top was just right.

I purchased three of these bottles and two of them are unusable. The water pours from the bottle and saturates the envelope. Only one of them is usable.

The moistener leaks badly if you turn it upside on the envelope to use it. Holding it upright works ok but is hard to do by yourself without knocking it over and spilling it on the table. Needs improvement.

...and leaves little crumbles everywhere. Too bad, I liked the idea of not having to buy new ones every time the fluid ran out. Now I'm looking for something more durable. Like the old-fashioned porcelain wheel with reservoir.

This moistener was easy to use and got the job done. The only con I have is that it sometimes wet the envelope too much, which I'm sure you can get use to.

We had over 100 wedding invitations to mail out, so this saved us the trouble of licking the envelopes and risking paper cuts.
