My kids convinced me to get this table hockey table for our family room. It was a great idea! We use it all the time, especially when they have friends over! So far it has been durable and we haven't had any trouble with it. I'd reccomend it for anyone that loves to play!

The instructions don't show or tell which way some of the parts go and you won't find out till a couple of steps later. The particle board holes don't line up and it splits out. You need to glue every joint if you want them to stay. We never did get all the bolts in under the table. When you score the puck flies through the pocket an on to the floor. The hand pieces mark up the table surface and the one electronic score end misses some of the goals. POOR Quality.

Purchased on sale for $249.00 and figured it was a good deal. Two of us picked it up at the dock in a pickup truck. Unloading was a chore with 3 guys but we slide it on a piece of carpet and got it to the basement. Best not to take out of box til you are at the assembly location. We had no missing parts and layed-out all sections with parts and started with legs carefully so as not to over screw into presswood. Took 3 guys 3 hours non-stop. Instructions were difficult at some steps when trying to figure out which way a bevel pointed and the silver bands on the legs do not all lay flat sufficiently, but ok. We really did not expect so many parts but it worked-out. The game looks and works like a quality board when complete. Have the same issue with the BLACK MARKS from the paddles, hope the WD-40 idea works. What can be used to keep surface smooth????????? Maybe they make a paddle with bigger pads! Scoreboard is great feature with my 12 yr old grandson and friends. We purchased the 2 year warranty because we do not want to have any issues in the future after all this work.

I had heard that these were pretty good tables but was totally disappointed by the quality of this table. The supports on the table top are pretty thin pressed board as are the legs. Mine arrived with hairline cracks on the sides and the supports under the top. The table is turned on by a switch installed in the power cable which hangs below the table and is a pain to get at to turn it on. The display is powered by two AA batteries with a cover plate that has to be unscrewed with a screw driver to replace the batteries. This display is turned on separately and is easy to forget when turning off. Batteries won't last long if not turned off. The blower is weak but does give the minimum amount of performance. Assembly was quick and easy because there aren't many parts.

Most that has been stated about this table has been accurate during my experience. I was able to assemble this table alone (though I wouldn't recommend it) but had to put several hours into it. Once assembled though, I have been very pleased. To me the only drawback about playing on this table is how easily marred the play surface can get. A little automotive cleaner wax helps, but it is a real shame as this is the only real drawback of this otherwise good value. I must have been lucky, I didn't have any missing or broken pieces and the fit and finish was much better than expected after after reading previous reviews.

First, the good review; the table is worth the $279 sale price. The overall appearance adds to decor of my basement. Sturdy table (if you assemble correctly). Great fun overall for my family. Now, bad review; the table in box is extremely heavy you will need a helper or two. The directions were horrible. If you dont have patience and handy in parts assembly (forget about it). Very annoyed that the pushers leave black scuff marks on the table. A special thank you to reviewer 'Mattnc from NewportNC' for the WD-40 tip. Occasionally, the score board tends to reset during play.

Great for the price, it is a sturdy table, and 2 weeks into it, we are still having fun. 299.00. It took my husband hours to put this together. The directions are horrible. So if you are not really handy, your gonna need help. The decorations on the legs are not quality,so you may have to reinforce with glue. Very solid table, but for spending the $300 hard earned cash, we are happy.

After reading all the poor reviews I was dumb enough to still give this table a chance. What a huge mistake. Parts were missing and you can not get help through their customer service. This table is junk and I hope you don't make the mistake I did and buy it. I have since returned it for a Harvard table that is very sturdy and easy to put together.

After reading many of these reviews and buying one of these myself, I have to agree with the frustration during assembly. Mine was also missing 4 pieces that were pretty easy to make myself instead of waiting for them to ship. But including that and using some angle brackets on the end panels, since the holes did not line up, it took about 4-1\2 hours with one helper. I see some room for improvement in the construcion of the table, but it is very sturdy when assembled. The surface does get scuffed by the pushers, but cleans up nice with some WD-40 and cheesecloth. The scoring mechanism has only failed twice, but we were playing with all four pucks at the time and two were scored pretty close to each other, otherwise, very reliable. Overall, as the last reviewer mentioned assembly is a one-time thing so for the fun we have had and will have over the next years, this table was worth it.

So far, this table was a good deal for $299. Only two things so far have been annoying: 1. There are two different sizes of silver bands that go on the legs of the table and our unit was shipped with 2 few of the larger bands and 2 too many of the smaller sliver bands. I haven't yet called the manufacturer to resolve this, so can't report on the outcome of this snafu. 2. As others have mentioned, the pushers leave black marks on the table. I tried a couple different cleaners that didn't work. I'm happy to see that someone has figured out the WD-40 works; I'll be trying that next. Others have mentioned that assembly could have been easier and the instructions could have been better. I agree. In my case, all of the assembly was done by one person (me) except for the short step (approx. 4 minutes) where you have to flip the table over onto its legs and then place the top on the table. You can overcome the weaknesses in the instructions by looking ahead at future steps and imagining how it must all come together. After reading some of the earlier reviews, I expected to have problems with the automatic scoring mechanism. I had decided that I would be happy without automatic scoring and decided to buy the unit despite the early bad reviews. However, so far, the automatic scoring has worked flawlessly. The kids love the table. It's fun for the whole family. Overall, this was a good deal for $299.

This was a surprise Christmas 2008 present to my wife and I, from my step-daughter and her boyfriend! Having read a few other reviews I think I agree with them for the most part. I'll break the review into bullet points as far as I can. The Good: o Once assembled, it's pretty good. (for more on assembly, see under "The Bad:"!) o Playing surface is slick, smooth, puck slides around at a nice speed. o Scoring system is nice, good sound and light effects. o Finished product seems pretty solid and sturdy, it's not going to collapse if you lean on it a little. o Overall the table looks good and plays well. The Bad: o Assembly instructions could certainly be clearer in places. The leg-support assembly is cut with a bevelled edge so the table will slot right down into place, but it's not clear in the diagrams which way the slants are supposed to go! o Required a fair amount of squashing and squeezing to line up some of the screw holes for the legs, and the main table top attaching to the frame. o One end of the table, the end panel was at least 1/2 inch away from "flush" with the table-top. The bolts weren't long enough to attach the table-top to the frame. If I squeezed the panel and leg-frame together and tightened the bolts, I could hear them ripping right back out of the wood, so rather than ruin it, we left it loose. o We ran out of wood screws in the supplied parts, so we'll need to obtain some more (there is an order form for replacement parts in the back of the assembly manual). Right now, the on/off switch and wires are just dangling on the floor underneath the table, until then! The Ugly: o Paddles leave black marks on table top (other reviewers suggest a soft cloth with WD40 as a good removal agent so I will try that!) o The black decoration on the table top means that you can "lose" the puck visually... although you get used to that after a while. Plain white table top might not look as "cool", but it's easier to play on. o The "SportCraft" badge fell off the side panel while I was assembling it... no big deal I can just glue it back on, but still annoying. o The silver leg band decoration didn't line up with the holes on one of the legs. o The goal is slightly too small in my opinion. You can just sit there with your paddle in front of the goal center and it's very hard for your opponent to score! Overall Since assembly is a one-time thing, the inconveniences encountered while building it (which are my only real gripes) will fade from memory. YOU DEFINITELY NEED AT LEAST 2 PEOPLE TO BUILD IT PROPERLY. The table is fun to play on, solid when assembled, and I do like the simple-but-effective scoring LED device on the side. If I'd been given this table fully-assembled (with no work to do myself!) I would probably be rating it 5 stars instead of 4. It's not the fact that it's hard work to build, it's the annoyances described above when building it that reduce the rating to 4 stars.

The family loves this table. It is wonderful to play. The only problem I see with it is that the paddles are not good for this type of table. They leave black marks on the table which can only be removed by a non-scratch scrub pad. Otherwise, I would definately recommend this table especially for the price. It was the best one out there for less than $500.

Purchased on Black Friday on sale for a very good price. As others have noted, the box is very large and heavy. Even with a large SUV we had to unbox at the store and load the individual pieces. Assembly takes a few hours and the instructions are poor (drawings do not indicate orientation of certain pieces that leave it up to you to guess on - resulted in re-assembling a few pieces). Holes do not always align properly. Took 3.5 hours to build on a late Christmas Eve. Once completed though the table is great. Fun to play and tough enough to handle rough play from the kids. A very good value for the price.

Overall, I have found this product to be a good value for the price that I paid on sale. After reading the reviews I was leary about this product that it would fall apart after a couple of uses, but has withstood the abuse from the entire family. I am glad that we waited until Christmas day to do the set-up which took about 7 hours and some help from my 11 year old. It is imperative that you have a second set of hands when getting this unit set-up. The directions were not clear and drawings unmarked which took an additional hour to decipher and to take apart several areas beacuse of the fit of the unit. Once all of the logistics were taken care of the silver bands on the legs were also difficult to fit. Now that the unit has been set up to play I have found the pucks to be very light and have went off the table several times with other adults playing and the strikers do leave unsightly maks on the take after use. As for the scoring unit it works great and we are happy witht he purchase and the hours of fun that this game table has already brought to our house for Christmas 2008.

We are very happy with the finished table. The kids are having a great time and it appears to be sturdy enough to withstand the hard use that the 4 to 9 yr olds will give it. The big drawback was while putting it together. You assemble the base upside down and the side panels have two blocks that are glued and stapled to them which align and hold the legs and crossmember in place while you turn over the table to place the top on. As we turned over the table the glue and staples holding the blocks let go and we had to fix this before we could finish the job. Not a good situation at 2 AM Christmas morning. The manufacturer should screw these blocks into place to avoid this problem. Once the table is upright the weight is on the legs, not these blocks. We measured the location and screwed the blocks to the side and moved on. The blocks have to be aligned properly since the cross members which the blocks hold in place must be aligned to allow the table top to be bolted into place. To save $.25 cents in screws they get bed reviews for assembly. Total time to assemble by two men with power screwdriver and hand tools, from truck to basement, assembly and fix was about 2 1/2 hours. We had screws handy in the basement to expedite the fix. It is heavy and bulky in the box but that is needed to get a sturdy game table. I have recommended the game to a friend, noting the assembly issue. I would also recommend the manufacturer secure the blocks better and this would solve the major complaint.

Where to start? After reading the previous reviews, I agree with most to one degree or another but I have come to believe that this table is all about perspective. Weight in box - yes it IS HEAVY - need a pickup truck to pick up with a friend and then emptied box piece by piece to move from one garage to another. Assembly time - approximately 7 hours using a drill with occassional help from my wife. Glad we closed off the garage Christmas Eve morning and didn't start that evening or wait until Christmas day! We may not have slept or played on Christmas day. Assembly instructions - average to poor, spent considerable time interpreting the pictures with poor details and made a few wrong "guesses" and ended up having to re-do later. Assembly - 1. Had slight problems with silver leg wraps as did a previous reviewer but they worked out. 2. Only had to "bore out" one hole to accomodate the screw into receptacle. 3. As with another reviewer, we had a leg fall off during the flipping process. Had to add drywall screws in from the outside to secure this leg and then screwed in the other leg in same manner just to be safe. 4. Couldn't complete on my own, had to have my son assist on Christmas morning with the last 4 screws since my head wouldn't fit inside the table to see if screw holes lined up with receptacle. Quality - Overall good. Pucks are a little light and often fly off table when I play with other adults; will need additional pucks due to dents and dings. Pushers do mark the table surface when not held completely flat but some WD40 on a terry cloth removes them with a little elbow grease. Scoring system is virtually flawless. Only very occassionaly will it not register a score, enjoy the lights and sound effects. We have already had many hours of play time on the table and everyone enjoys it. It has already survived a teen party of about 15 kids and is still in good shape (even after a milk spill on the playing surface). Looking forward to many more hours of fun and entertainment on it. Recommend it, but be ready to face some difficulty in assembly.

Got this for xmas 2008 -, on sale for 250. Overall it is perfect for what we want. the kids and their friends ages 7-14 can have a blast on it. My husband and I played and it is fun for us as well. Looks very sharp- I like that the score keeper is lit up red and plays a musical sound and sounds off when a score is made. It shows how much time is left for the round and resets the timer for the second round --2 rounds per game. I especially liked that when a score is made the opening of the goal lights up with a string of red dot lights. Looks cool. came with 4 paddles and 2 pucks, construction is pretty good, It's not a pro-adult table-so it is made very well for what it is. It did take us 5 hours to assemble on xmas eve and the only flaw in the pieces was that the upper silver plastic band that goes around each leg didn't match up to the holes. No big deal though just bbrake of the plastic pegs that go into the holes and contact glue it on- it's decorative. Save time and have a electric screwgun ready take 2 hours off the assembly time and don't be tired when you start. definately 2 people needed to hold parts together while one screws/slides etc. I'm very happy with it It was a great purchase ,would pay more it. Had no flaws is table top or score keeper as some reviewers had. purchased at sears, non opened box, and picked-up myself.

YOU PUT THE BASE TOGETHER UPSIDE DOWN, THEN WHEN YOU HAVE 4 PEOPLE TO FLIP IT OVER IT BREAKS THE LEGS OFF AS ITS ONLY HELD TOGETHER WITH GLUE AND TINY STAPLES, YOU WILL NEED YOUR OWN SCREWS TO PUT TOGETHER, VERY MAD I BOUGHT THIS

I tried this table in the store and was impressed. I bought it, and immediately things started going south. First off, it is all packaged in one big box. It took three guys plus me and my 18 year old kid to load it into our car. Then unloading, that was entertaining as well. So I read the instructions, they are so bad and poorly illustrated I think I spent more time redoing things than anything else. Two main parts of the table (The side skirts) were badly scratched. Then the leg assembly just flat broke during assembly. I had to re-glue and re-staple and screw the factory attached part. I had never seen such a cheaply manufactured table. The way the whole structure sits on these little 1/4 inch thick wedges is incredible. Not to mention they are only held on with little micro staples and some glue. Needless to say, I will never buy another Sport Craft product again. Once fully assembled and 'reconditioned' by me, the table is ok however the pushers make real nice black marks all over the top that are near impossible to remove.

The table is just the right size, it looks good, and everything operates great. Second time buying a sportcraft product. Second time pleased. Great buy.

The particle board material is very fragile. The screws often did not tighten to a stop but rather bit in so far and then just spun in place. At one point, the leg assembly fell apart from the side assembly. Not all the predrilled holes matched up. The directions didn't show the pieces well enough and considering the stark narrative portion of the directions, you're left to own imagination. Overall the quality gets a POOR rating and the directions get a VERY POOR rating. The scoring devise works very well. The air flow is good except in the very center where it doesn't seem to be very strong. The box was super heavy and I had to take everything out inorder to get it into the house. How the guys at Sears got this into my wifes van is a mystery to me.

We have had this less than a week, but so far it is a blast and a good value. We paid for setup and just started playing. puck moves fast, game is great.. family having a good time with it. the table is level there seems to be no dips or dead areas. It plays a lot like a much more expensive table. We got it for around $300. Only cons are: 1) the paddles are black and mark up the playing surface; 2) the game plays well only when the puck is flipped with the label side down. you just have to be aware of this when you put a puck in play.

I got this table as a gift for my husband and we got it set up and had a defect on the playing surface but other then that it worked good only the defect affected the puck during game play. so we got a replacement for it and the new one has a slight defect on the playing surface and the score board wont register when the puck goes in the goal. if we cant get the score board thing to work then this is going back and getting my money back and buying a different table from a different company. I wouldn't recommend this table to anyone...something wrong with 2 tables I wont even bother to try a 3rd one. I woudl tell anyone to spend your money on a different table not on this one.

I purchased this unit a week ago and when I finished assembling the table, I found out the electronic scorer would not sense the puck going in the goal. For now we manually keep the score in our heads. I am waiting for a response from Sportcraft and customer service is not that good because you have to wait for the next business day to get a response. So don't buy this going into the weekend.
