Absolutely love my Sony. No complaints what so ever. The Bluetooth is convenient and I love that I can also place my iPad, itouch, or my iPhone on the dock. It's cordless so that's also a plus.

Excellent sound quality. Easy to use. Very compatible to Bose, but less money and includes the ability to play radio broadcasts.

I bought this product about a week ago and i only use at around volume 21 which is good enough to hear in a normal space bedroom. I love it. My girlfriend has the older edition and its pretty good, so i decided to try this one out and yeah it was well worth it.

I bought this primarily for bluetooth audio in my living room streaming from my iPad or iPhone. It connects right away and fills the room with sound. I recently purchased a Mac Mini and it also connects and plays with ease. If I want to pause or skip a song, the small remote works well from the kitchen and controls the music from any of the devices. I was hesitant to spend the money on this when iHome docks are so cheap, but everything works great (wirelessly) and sounds fantastic. I haven't looked back.

I absolutely loved these speakers. The sound quality is postively fantastic. As good as any of the others that I tested. I love the bluetooth connection which works flawlessly with my Android phone. They have excellent battery life. I couldn't be happier with my purchase!

Changed my previous rdpxf100ip for this one and while the previous was great, this wone is way better, you don have to take the cover off the iphone to plug it into the dock, the battery lasts pretty, long, sound quality is astounding with the added tweeters and better drivers, the look is nice too. Great, buy. Tested next to bose portable, logitech, and Bowers and wilkens, sounds better, and looks nicer. woth the money.

This is an excellent bluetooth capable speaker. This was used at a hotel party connected to a Asus (TF300) Tablet via bluetooth and it produced awesome sound. Setup is easy and fast. Music from the tablet streamed to the speaker, no problem. The sound quality is great. Operation is very simple and the remote comes in handy. Price was good - it was on sale for $199.

Im writing this review because i´ve been searching all over the web about this dock for weeks and have found so little information that now that i have bought it i want to share my experience with you and inform you a little better for making the right choice. ok i been looking for a nice dock for nearly 6 months, i started trying the typical ones: the Bose, bowers & wilkens, etc and i wasn't very convinced for any of them firstly because of the price and secondly because i couldn't have all-in-one (The main things i wanted where a built-in battery and a dock+Bluetooth option because i sometimes need to charge my phone while listening to music), if wanted Bluetooth i needed one in particular, if i wanted a rechargeable battery it was another story so i spend lots of time searching for the right dock. Until one day i stumbled across this speaker, to be honest at first i just passed by walking becouse i have never been a real fan of sony audio, but then i took a look to all of its features and thought "well lets give it a try". i couldnt believe it was a sony, it sounded clearly and awesome, well i wont lie, its not an spectacular professional sound but i believe it is comparable to the Bose Soundock portable, the quality of the sound is really similar. The only problem or cons i have found to the product is that when you go to high volumes you lose a little bass, i believe it happens so the dock wont get damaged for been listen in high volume for long times, so its kind of a protection function, nevertheless its a little annoying to loose the bass when you turn it up, most of the times you are looking for more bass when you turn up the volume. Well rounding up this is an excellent speaker, where else will you find a Bluetooth, Fm radio, rechargeable battery, with a dock and awesome sound quality speaker? and all of these for an amazing low price? i believe this is the only one. Bottom line, you cant go wrong with this dock. hope i could help.

I was comparing between Bose Speakers for High Quality Sound, but when I saw that they had No bluetooth, No FM radio, could not believe it. This Sony unit has it All, Great Sound Quality and Very Good Bass, Treble so too. EQ has 3 options, none of the Bose Equipment Brings. In other Words I am Very Happy with this purchase, I Recommend it to all my Friends.

Wanting a radio and bluetooth device, I purchased this mainly for my kitchen while I'm cooking and for occasional get togethers. After staring at the Bose Soundlink for about half an hour trying to convince myself to shell out $300 for something without a radio, a sales associate suggested I look at this. It has iPod plastered all over the box and I am an avid Android user (Motorola Droid X and Toshiba Thrive tablet), so I didn't give it much thought. I connected my android phone up to it in about 3 seconds and played some tunes from my Google online library. I was quite surprised. It sounded great. Although, with all the TV's, stereos, video games, etc. playing in the store, I was still hesitant. I tested several more types of songs and decided to go for it. I got it home, connected my tablet up to it in a few seconds. It may not sound quite as nice as the Bose, but it is still very, very good. I tested how loud it could go, kept my tablet at half volume and cranked up the music. Little to no distortion. My wife actually came downstairs and asked me to turn it down because she could feel the bass in our sons room while he was napping. I let it charge up, unplugged it and took it outside on the patio. WIth the tablet inside on the counter, this thing still sounded great outside. I think it sounded better than it did in the kitchen. It was at least 30 feet apart from the tablet and never lost connection. I have not tested the charge duration, but I was outside for at least 2 hours with it playing. Overall, I love the sound quality. I love that when powering up the radio and my tablet, the Bluetooth connects automatically. I love that it has an FM radio. I love the remote. I love that I can take this outside unplugged. It looks nice and stylish sitting on my kitchen counter. The controls on top are easy to use. The volume rocker and select buttons feel sturdy to the touch, not flimsy like you get in many products. My only little issues are that there is no AM radio and my old iPod 3G 60GB does not work in it. All my music is in the cloud now, so that is not a big issue for me. Its a little heavy, but I don't plan on going on walks with it. The power cord is pretty clunky. I suppose the unit would be even heavier if it wasn't. I'd like to be able to tweak the sound to my fit, rather than the 5 loaded presets. I installed an EQ app on the tablet and it works great for that. All my issues are minor. Anyone looking at the Bose, I would suggest you check this one out. It was on sale for about $200 when I picked it up. Absolutely no buyer's remorse. This one is a keeper.

I have to agree with the other reviews 100%. I wont re-invent the wheel here. the review from hates sony NC is right on the money. my wife wanted something portable to use out is the yard and on her horse event trips(we have a bose dock for inside that we have had for 5 yrs). we looked and listened to the bose for $350. and was pretty sure that was the one but we went home and i did a little searching. this unit came up and i went to listen to it. The bass was impressive, sound over all excellent. Of course it went on sale the week after i bought it but oh well. If you are fussy about quality and want to save some money check this out and then buy it. You wont have any regrets. I generally liked this one better for: Size, Radio, blue tooth and cheaper price... the only thing I'm not sure of yet is battery life. radio presets/scanning took a bit to understand but you will probably only do that once. they say you get what you pay for but i'd say in this instance its more than you paid for. very pleased

This is a great little sound system for the money and size. I like the ease of use. I had one of the earlier models that did not have Bluetooth and liked it very much but when I saw this model in the store that had Bluetooth I handed it down to my son and purchased this one for myself.

I was looking for a portable sound dock that sounds really good and can run on batteries and be wireless. This was the solution. I had a few sound docks in mind like the logitech but did not have enough base, the bose portable is way too expensive for the same sound quality as this sony and the bose soundlink which is way too expensive and does not sound that great. It has the low and warm sound but its not clear on the highs. This sony is very clear on lows mids and highs. Thanks to bluetooth now I can hook up any device wireless from my iphone to tablet. This has a dock unlink the bose soundlink so if you have an ipod classic or nano you can dock it. On the bose its only bluetooth. This sony also has different eq settings for you taste of listening and the kind of music you like. It also has a AMFM radio witch is cool but dont really care for it much. The battery which I last over 4 hours on high volume. Battery indicator is good to tell you if your battery is low or what not. Basically its a great great system especially the sound for being portable. Just wish sony would have thrown in a bag to put it in for traveling which does not cost much. Other then that I think its great.

This iPod speaker was the only speaker that I could find that had all the features I was looking for - Bluetooth, FM, remote, IPod charger and great sound. I am very happy with this product with only two negatives for me. First, the sound will distort at high volumes. Not too much of an issue for me because I rarely have the sound that loud anyway. Second, the iPod dock does not accomodate an iPad very easily. Even without the iPad case on it was difficult to dock it due to its size. I decided I will just use the dock for my iPod and I charge my iPad elsewhere which actually works fine. Overall it's a great product, it fit all my needs and it was worth the higher price tag.

I went into Best buy looking for a portable dock and tried Bose,Zeppelin Mini and a few others. After listening to all these docks I settled for the Sony as it ticked all the boxes and has the sound quality, features and portability for a modern day sound system. This system has a punchy, detailed sound worthy of a much more expensive system.Much better overall than Bose and Zeppelin Mini.

We were really leaning towards a Bose docking station, but found this one on sale and with good reviews. I am glad that we went with it because it has excellent sound, doesn't take up alot of room, and does exactly what we wanted it to for a really reasonable price.

Not much more left to be said. It came down to the 300ip, the Big Jambox and the Bose Soundlink II. The Bose was the sound winner, but not by as much as I thought it would be. The Sony lacks the Bose's depth, but was as good as the Big Jambox. Sony is MUCH more portable but the Sony also added the FM radio (handy during power outage), a dock to charge my iPod, and a remote control. The $100 savings sealed the deal. Not often that Sony is the "value" choice but in this case it was. Don't hesitate!

I recently moved offices and teams within my company. As a parting gift, my team gave me a $300 gift card to Best Buy. The one thing I have been missing is some nice audio in my office. I did some research online and found a Best Buy store with a Magnolia shop. I was dead set on adding to my $300 gift card and purchasing either the Bose Sound Dock 10, Bowers and Wilkins Zeppelin Air, or a Bang and Olufsen BeoSound 8. I made sure my iPhone music was loaded with the best sound format (256 kbps AAC) audio, added a few music videos and even put a movie on it. The Magnolia store I visited did not have Bang and Olufsen, so I played around with the Bose and the B&W. Both sounded pretty good but were not spectacular. In my opinion, the Bose sounded better than the B&W so I began to focus more on the Bose. The Bose would not allow my iPhone 4S to show the music videos or the movie. I don't know that I would ever want to use that functionality, but I was surprised it didn't work. I kept pacing around the store and finally just stared plugging my iPhone into all the different sound docks on display. I passed the Sony ones twice, because I don't like Sony audio. (My HD TV's are Sony or Samsung, but that's it.) Anyway, after trying EVERYTHING I could, I connected my iPhone to the Sony RDPXF300IP. The sound was great, the music videos and movies displayed, the Sony had a remote, Bluetooth audio, is portable with a rechargeable battery and has built in tuner. It was also $250 vs. $599 for the Bose. If you add Bluetooth audio to the Bose plan on spending another $99, total $698. The Bose and this Sony were almost side by side, so I began going through my music library and comparing the two. The Bose has just a little more bass and is designed for larger rooms. I imagine the Sony would do well in large rooms too. The Sony had plenty of Bass presence and the sound was perfect for me. I played both at somewhat loud levels and they both sounded good. The biggest difference I noticed was that the Sony sounded much better than the Bose at low volumes. After about an hour, yes an hour, I paced around the store again, basically in shock I was considering purchasing a Sony, went back to the display, picked up the Sony for $250 and never looked back. ...and remember, I went in prepared and more than willing to pay much more $$$$$$$. You won't be disappointed with this purchase!
