Great for providing a soft spotlight to further enhance my accent lights and pathway. I had tested it in my pitch black backyard and I love it. I had placed the spotlight about 20 ft away from my solar accent lights and pathway SO IT WOULD PROVIDE a gentle cast of light , it made a great difference and looked beautiful.. i PLAN TO PURCHASE 4 MORE so I can provide this lighting for the rest of my backyard. Hint:I charge the spotlight in full sunlight with no shade and if I need to hide the spotlight but maintain the light soucre, I put the spotlight in my large pots of plants that I maintain on the sides of the house so have fun:)

Bought this thinking it would be the perfect addition to our new driveway sign. Installed it, and waited for it to charge. 2 days later, checked the battery was plugged in, and waited again. The light has yet to come on- and it's been there 9 months. Of course, the receipt is long gone & so is the box (I think)- plus, we live100 miles from the nearest Home Depot, so it'll most likely end up in a garbage can when I feel like going down and ripping it out- hey, at least it LOOKS cool to people in the daytime that think it might work at night!

Over all I got I little more than I thought I would get. Still by morning an hour before sun rise there is NO light being emitted.

I have a step up from my driveway to the walk that the porch or street light doesn't reach.I've always had to feel my way to make sure I didn't fall down that one step. Now, I've positioned the light so it shines on the step and anyone going up or down can see there is a step there. It is well worth the $20 to avoid someone falling.

The light could be a little brighter, otherwise it work fine.

These are a great easy way to light some of your specimen shrubs at night. I have purchased 6 of them and my only complaint is about the design is that since the lights are most often pointed upward, water collects and pools between the outer plastic rim and the light lens. This can mute the light if the water becomes filmy and in the case of one light, leak into the inner cavity causing moisture to form inside and dulling the light. But the other 5 have held up great and I have had them for about 6 weeks during which it had rained alot!

This product was purchased because I needed to buy enough to get free shipping on the products I wanted and couldn't find anything else that I really needed. It is a basically good LED spot light. It is not really decorative but it is functional. It is a little smaller than I expected it to be but the light is bright and with the right sun light to power the unit it works fine. I an using it to decoratively light up a palm tree. It will be interested to see how long it holds up under less than perfect weather conditions and when regularly sub jected to water from spinklers, .

At first it was great I used it to shine on my American Flag, lit up beautifully for about 2 months and then that was it and the battery is smaller than the usually AA rechargable ones and didnt feel it was worth it to buy the new batteries which cost more than your regular ones, I would not recommend purchasing this unless you only need it for a few monthsI read reviews on this prior to purchasing it, not on Home Depot though

I originally bought 2 just to try them out. In my townhouse yard I get mixed shade and light...they worked great, even on cloudy days. In bought four more for a total of six and they light up my yard spectacular! I have had these spotlights for about 5 months with no problems.

This solar spotlight has two settings high and low (to conserve battery power). Unfortunately, mine died after less than two months on the job on the low setting. Replacement battery is a special sized lithum (shorter than a AA) so it is not interchangeable with other rechargeables that you may already have and it may not be compatible with certain battery chargers.Great while it worked, but the short life and specialized battery make this light a waste of money and an early candidate for the boneyard of solar boondoggles.

Needed some light in small corner of my backyard. Really suprised that unit come on right out of box and light was brighter and lasted much longer than I thought. So far, I give this a thumbs up for what I need it to do. I am very pleased with its performance.

I was apprehensive about getting another set of solar spots as the last ones I had were way too weak to do any kind of decent lighting task; let alone spotlight a landscape element like a shrub or a tree. Well, when I saw this unit, the fact that it had 3 LEDs led me to believe that they might do the trick. I got 2 units and set them up to light a Japanese flowering tree that was in full bloom with white blossoms. I used the stakes (the kit comes with mounting brackets as well) and set them about 20 feet from the tree facing up. After a day of mixed (50/50) exposure to direct and indirect sunlight, these spot lights lit this tree beautifully. The only drawback is the absence of a switch. Nonetheless, the literature seemed to indicate that the batteries would last up to 3 years. I'm going back to buy 5 more.

This is Excellent as an outdoor Light for the Time needed, ( approx 3-5 Hours a Night) This MUST be in Direct Sunlight as with any Small Solar Panel to give the Best Full Charge. It will only give you about three Hours of Medium Light on a Cloudy. I would ONLY recommend it for Pathways, Soft Lighting on a Shed, or Entrance Door, or it works Great to Illuminate the Entrance to the Driveway up to 3-5 Hours after Dark on our VERY DARK country Road where there is no Other Light Source.. Thanks

The light looks nice but is not bright enough. I have it on a flag that is only eight feet away and you can hardly tell that it is on unless it is pitch dark.

I bought four units--all fastening pins (the little fingers which hold the solar plate over the batterys on top of the light) were broken off probably during shipping to the store.Optional mount pieces, one for wood and one a "pin" for pushing into earth, were only in 2 of the 4 boxes.Oh, most important, only ONE of the four lights is bright. One is trying to be bright and the other two are equal to candles in brightness.I actually have brought the three ni-cad batteries from the units into the house to charge the ni-cads. This means the solar panels are garbage in three of the four--a terrible ratio

Solar products keep getting better and better. This is proven in this solar spotlight. I was hesistant to buy because in the past solar lights were weak and didn't last long. This light is about the same as a 60 watt bulb and lasts from dusk to at least midnight. We have several in our yard, spotlighting palm trees where no electricity can reach and they do a great job. Definitely recommend.

This solar spot light is easy to set up and works pretty well as long as it sits in a spot where it will get plenty of sun during the day.

These solar lights were originally bought to highlight a christmas display that had no electricity nearby. It was perfect. Now they are directed at illuminating a large set of stairs at night. There has been alot of comments on how much light these put off and what a big difference they make for increasing safety.

Long lasting battery even with winter light conditions charging the battery. Bright enough as a landscaping "detail" spotlight...very pleased with purchase, will be buying more!
