Like another reviewer said--great idea, but doesn't work if you have non-traditional square outlets with the screws at top & bottom.

We wanted to find a product that would cover the cords to our TV and blu-ray player and keep our 9 month old (curious) daughter from pulling on them. When I came across this product I was thrilled! I had no idea such a thing even existed and thought I would probably have to come up with some strange combination of tape and tupperware myself ;) It worked perfectly for our purpose. It was easy to install, only requiring a screw-driver. You should check before you purchase this that your outlet only has 1 screw in the middle, because this is how it attaches to your wall. The only con I have is that it took quite a bit of finagling to get the larger, round TV cord through the opening. But I DID get it through with a little effort, and was able to wrap ALL of the extra cord inside the cover. I just made use of the space in the middle as well as the provided "wrap-around" space. If you want your cords to direct upwards instead of down (as the picture shows) just install it upside down. That's what we did so the cords would reach up to the TV. Overall, happy with this product, and it works for us!

Works fine for regular cords. However as others have mentioned, thicker cords will not fit through the slots in the cover. This made it unusable for me, since the things I needed to plug in--power adapter and breastpump--have thicker cords. Too bad, as it would have been very easy for SafetyFirst to make the slots slightly larger.

My toddler has a firm pincer grasp and can pull out the clear tabs that insert into the outlets. I was looking for something to completely cover the outlet. I did not want to take a chance with the type that you move to the side and insert the plug because if she can pull tabs out, she can certainly figure out how to push a piece of plastic aside. This product fits the outlets (one screw in the middle), it completely covers the outlet and surrounding wall, and the tabs are easy to use for an adult. I have yet to see if she can get it off but am confident that she is physically unable to depress two tabs to remove it. My purpose was not necessarily to cover plugs in an outlet but that will be a bonus to the use and I will just have to buy these covers to thwart her for the rest of unused, easily accessible outlets.

I needed this for surge protector cord and cell phone cords (purchased 2). Neither one fit in cover(too big).

This outlet cover was very easy to install, it took me like 2 minutes max. to install and it does what it's intended to do cover an outlet in use and hide the cord.

I work for Healthcare and we use these in our nursing home to cover outlets. Works great.

Once I finally got this on, it does it's job just fine. The only thing is that the cord shortener is USELESS! I struggled with it for about 30 minutes and the cover will not fit on if you try to use the shortener. I was pretty disappointed about that, but now that it's on it's just fine.

I like the idea of this product but I can't use it because most of my items for my baby all come with bigger plugs and these covers can't handle that. And they don't work with thicker chords or you can't wrap the chord as much as you would like to.
