Overall, I am pleased with this shed. I would say my biggest problem is that I should have bought the bigger version of this shed. It is true that this shed is a little tricky to put together. Some of the edges don't fit together very well. The plastic tounges can crumple instead of sliding into the grooves on the other side. I definitely recommend a little dish-washing soap when pushing the roof panels onto the shed walls. Don't try assembling the roof before placing it on the shed unless you have another strong person to help you. You also will need some clearance above the shed to swing the roof panels into place. This can be a problem if you place it under your roof eves like I did. I ultimately put the roof panels on the shed a little away from the house and then slid the shed under the eves. This may not be possible with a bigger shed since this small (but heavy) shed is hard enough to move. I haven't had any problems with the shed being blown apart. It is standing against the wall of my house because I have some microbursts that come through my yard. (One time the wind picked up my grill and tossed it across the yard.) I do recommend some additional wood screws to keep the bottom pieces on the floor. I also poured a concrete slab for the shed to avoid any bug or water problems. One thing I did not expect is that the shed is very humid. Being made of resin, it does not breath very well, so anything metal will rust. Since I primarily use the shed for storing garden equipment, all of my shovels have rusted. If you are handy, it is possible to modify the shed with a roof vent or side vents. I may try this at some point. On the plus side, the shed looks very nice and has required no maintenance. I also like that I don't have to worry about the shed rusting. While I wish I had the bigger shed, I am still able to fit an amazing amount of stuff into it. My last recommendation is to wait for a clearance to buy the accessory hangers for the shed walls. I managed to get most of the baskets, tool hangers, and shelves that make this shed really useful at over 60% off.

Shed was pretty easy to assemble. However, if you have the shed with the green roof, Rubbermaid has discontinued the shed and the accessories. You can get wall anchors from Rubbermaid so that you can hang a pegboard or a shelf. Check out their website. Just thought I would share for those who really needed the accessories.

Two times the past year I have had to put this back together because it was blown away by straight line winds. Once the screws are ripped out you cannot use the same holes.

We have two of these sheds. We love them. Our family uses them for a pool shed and also in our dog run as a dog house on nice days. The shed is easy to put together and is made of very good material. We are considering purchasing another one of these sheds. Love them.

Insturctions easy to follow. Parts labled well. Was a little hard to find the instuctions, they slid under the panels which had to be taken out of the box to find. Used tips in instructions. Assembled in one hour, by myself. My selection for placement is concrete and slightly angled for patio dranage, thus after placing assembled shed, I'll have to shim the shed a bit for the doors to operate perfectly. Putting the back Gable on was a little hard at first, because in moving the shed closer to its final spot one back panel poped out of the floor. Once determined was easily fixed. Roof went on easier than I expected when I realized you need to push the top end to top of the Ridge beam when it pivots into place. All in all, was as easy as I hoped for with those exceptions.

I was able to put this together by myself and fairly quickly. The roof wasn't difficult as long as you can get the pieces horizontal. All the comments about levelling are correct.

This is a nice shed for the money. It was easy to install. The only real issue was leveling the ground. I recommend that you level the ground perfectly or the doors won't hang correctly. We set it up on square 18" stepping stones. We thought the roof was easy to install, contrary to other reviews here. Overall it took us about 2 hrs to put together. A little dissapointed though about the hanging accessories not being sold at our store. They're available only online and they are currently out of stock. Also, be sure to buy a real skinny lock because a standard lock won't fit it.

To hold our earthquake equipment, we wanted a shed just this size. Once leveled, putting it together was ok until the roof. What eased that problem was PLENTY of liquid soap on the gable and the roof. Once soap was slathered over both pieces, the roof was very easy to mallet into the locking mechanism. Hopefully, this is the last shed I will every need.

Bought this several years ago. Plenty of room for 3 lawnmowers/mulchers. Takes 2 to put together and very heavy. But will definitely be getting one for 80 year mother for all her tools, etc.

Big Max Jr. was just the right size for my yard and equipment -- hold a lawn mower, ladder, and small stuff, but I didn't want something bulky looming in the backyard. Oddly the delivery price on homedepot.com is $350, which is silly. My local Home Depot delivered in two days for $55. This is not something you can haul home without a large pickup and a lot of help.I found assembly to be kind of fun. Like a giant lego set. I did it solo on a windy afternoon. A few puzzling spots, but the roof popped in with just a little nudging. Preparing the foundation is probably a good idea, but I just plopped it on grass with some shims and tweaks to make it mostly level. In short, a nice, classy little shed, designed well and a good value.

I read the reveiws on this shed and was skeptical about getting it together. AS it turned out, I had it together in less then a hour. buy myself. I am 69 years. My wife wants me to get another one.

After reading all the reviews both pro and con, I decided to give the Big Max Jr a try. The building went together very easy. The roof was a little tough, but finally went together. If the area where the building is going is level, the building will go together smoothly. I built a wooded pad for mine. Also, I assembled the building by myself. Had to use a clamp here and there, but it went together smoothly by following the instructions. I would recommend this building for anyone needing a quick storage, limited building skills, or for areas where metal buildings are restricted.

After reading the reviews we decided to give it a try anyway. So far we haven't had any problems and it has survived a few major summer rain/wind storms. It houses a riding mower and garden tools, and will hold a few lawn chairs if you pack it right. Assembly was just as most people said, fairly simple until you get to the roof. After several frustrating attempts to assemble the roof per the written instructions, we followed the advice of one reviewer and assembled it on the ground and then carried it to the shed. Once we did that it snapped right in. Total assembly time about 3 hours with two people.

This shed is truly a piece of garbage. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Although the bottom parts are very easy to assemble, the roof is nearly impossible to put together. I first tried assembling it on top, that didn't work, then i tried assembling on the ground, on concrete, it barely snapped together, then when i tried putting it on top, it fell apart. Right now the roof is sitting on my grass disassembled. Had i known it was gonna be like this, i'd pay the extra money and get something that was worth it. Save yourself the money and aggravation and get something else. If not for the money, I would've taken this thing, poured lighter fluid on it, and had a big bonfire!!!!

There were two issues that we had with this shed. The first was the stunningly poor construction quality. Several pieces were greatly malformed, significantly increasing the difficulty of putting it together. Many pieces failed to even come close to lining up properly, and though we have it standing in our back yard right now, I have little faith that it will stay that way.The second was the poor design quality. Had we been assembling this on a hard surface pieces may have snapped together better, but putting it together on grass there was no chance of this happening. I think there were also too many parts that were intended to snap together, rather than depending on more reliable -- and easier -- joining methods.I will also note that one of the two, roof panels was missing and necessitated another trip to Home Depot, where the incredibly helpful and friendly staff pulled one out of another box for us. And that "two people can put it together in thirty minutes" thing? It took my wife and I about an hour and a half.In short, there is no way that I would ever buy another Rubbermaid shed or recommend one to a friend or family member.

Well this is not what you can call a quality shed. It is plastic. So with that in mind, it is what it is. Its assembly is basically just snapped together. Hope to heck that all of your plastic parts fit like they should. Mine didn't. So assembly was flimsy at best. Bottom line is you get what you pay for. It is a great price, but it is not worth the savings to me. I wish I would have spent a little more for a well designed shed. Live and learn I guess. Best of luck!!!

Shed was simple to put together (used a sledge hammer & piece of wood to jam things in place) - we were regular pro's the second time around! This shed is not suitable in unprotected areas (i.e., open back yard in suburbia). After one storm the shed (along with everything in it) was all over our yard (it also took out part of our fence in the process). The top portion of the shed does not clip in properly to the bottom (the tabs are 1/4" - which does not work for such a large shed). We now have ropes tied to cinder blocks holding the shed to the ground and have added numerous screws and layers of heavy duty adhesive to hold the shed together. All in all, not worth it unless it's being placed next to a large building where it is protected from the wind.

I bought this shed to move my lawn equipment out of the garage. It was really easy to put together. The thing that took me the longest was getting the ground level in the backyard for where I wanted to put it. The other part that was a little confusing in assembly was the roof pieces. The instructions are printed on two sides of the paper and the part of the roof is a little confusing. Just flip over to the other side when you get to that part.Aside from that it was really easy. It was up in about 90 minutes after getting the ground level. I'm planning on buying some of the accessory parts to be able to make more use of the wall space.

This is the second Big Max Jr I have purchased, and I am very happy with the product. The size is perfect for what I want, I also bought some of the baskets and shelf brackets which help storing smaller items. I read some of the reviews about problems with assembly, particularly the roof. I did not have any problems with mine, and put it all together in just over an hour. The only time I needed help was when raising the roof panels before lowering them into place. The secret to trouble free assembly is to read and understand the instructions before assembly and use plenty of neat liquid soap (not diluted) when snapping pieces together. This shed is great value for money and I do not hesitate to recommend it.

We needed a pump house to hold our pressure tank and the various other items required for a well. I was hesitant to use a "plastic" shed but my wife pointed out the time savings and what a wood one would cost. We poured a cement foundation, (15 bags of quickcrete) and sank tiedown bolts at the corners. Now, 2 1/2 years later it is holding up wonderfully. I had a local electic contractor wire it and all I had to do was make a couple of plywood wall mounts for the electrical panel and the whole house water filtration system. I have 2 light sockets and during to cold months run 2-40 watt bulbs to keep it from freezing. I use 2 lights so if 1 burns out I am still protected. I am so happy with this system that I recommend it to everyone I know. There are now 2 more like it down the road and another one will be put in next year. You can use the full size shed also.
