The unit was easy to install. Versatile. Effective. I am experiencing difficulty with trying to cancel the signal at the threshold to my back door.

My First thought about this product was that it was cruel. I really didnt like the idea of shocking the dog everytime that he came near the fence. I only had to show him twice on the 2nd lowest setting that when he crossed the flags it would shock him. He was a little affraid for the first week but now he just avoids going near it. I love this product b/c we have a lab and he would always chew up our patio furniture. We bought this system to keep him from getting on the patio. It WORKED GREAT for me!!!!

We incompassed approximately 6.5 Acres and the range of up to 10 ft.(from the perimeter wire) was available; but, we set it at about 1 to 2 ft. the collar has 5 settings and we have only had to put it on the first (warning only, that is a tick, tick, tick... and a buz). Our dog has great respect for the area of the wire (underground in most places) with the white flags. As a matter of fact, the white flags work where there is no "radio wire!" So far it is a success. He was initially introduced to the boundary with level 3 on the shock collar.

This was a lot more expensive than I wanted to spend but the having the peace of mind that my dog is safe was worth it. I basically turned it on, trained my dog and now let him out without worrying if he will wonder off or worse yet go into the neighbors yard. It works very well and I had no problems with it. I would recommend this product.

I bought this for my Lab, it took only 2 attempts after trainning her on the flags before she learned her area. I like the option on the colar of turning it up to 5 and basicly being a light Tazer to the dog. Reason I say that is because the dog will try to cross the fence after a few months of never attempting to cross the wire. My dog fiqured out she could run fast and run trough the radio fence zone and it would stop shocking her, so I turned it up to level 5 and it rolled her like a Doughnut! Now she never tries her fence!

Got this system yesterday...all is well so far. I have a 3 month old Saint Bernard and a 4 year old Shepherd mix. They both know to avid the flags now. A couple notes: Unlike what Home Depot has listed in the description there IS a wire break alarm as well as a low battery indicator on the collar itself.
