This was my first toothache and I was in agony from the severe pain. The pain had gotten so bad that it felt like 3 of my teeth were hurting instead of one but that was just the nerve. I sent my boyfriend out to get some orajel because I had seen it on tv and it seemed to work for them(actors). I put the paste on my tooth and gum as suggested and the paste wouldnt stay on the tooth and once it was on it lasted for about 20 minutes then it wore off. If you have severe pain from a toothache dont waste your TIME and MONEY buying this product.

The other oragels works fine and well for the minute that they last. But they always seem to wear off incredibly fast.This one lasted so much longer, due to it being a thicker paste rather than a gel. This doesnt wash away easily either, even if you salivate quite a bit from having put it on your teeth. It also does not have a bad taste (doesnt really have much of a taste at all). A very, very faint taste similar to necco wafers (which isnt bad!).

In the past I practically have tried them all.Ambesol,Benzocaine,different types of the orajel etc.I have a cracked tooth partially gonealong with it being abscessed.Tremendousamount of pain.Nothing worked than I was told from my Dentist if I can't come in than to go with the orajel p.m. as alot of the other ones might help a slight ache after a few uses it makes your gum much more sensitive longer use can cause the pain to heighten,So...I can't afford a root canal out of pocket first time around. I tried this & I absolutelyfeel alot of relief. It takes the edge right down. Whats nice is the cream stays where I put it.It doesn't wash away when I sip something.I also agree it isn't just for night time.I use it morning dinner & bed.It's wonderful.Try it you will be amazed...

I have used this many times. It is the best at numbing the pain. It doesn't taste bad and because it is a thick cream, it stays where you put it and it lasts for hours. I don't just use it at night, I use it ANY time I have a toothache.

Surprisingly disappointed because Ora Gel products I used over two decades ago were quite therapeutic. No relief provided with this costly product.

I had a toothache so painful I could not sleep for days which is my wisdom tooth that had a cap come off and it was open and decade, and i was taking at least 10 pain meds a day! but when my mom went out to buy something for me because for the server pain she brought back orajel for sever pain and when i say it worked!! it worked it last for at least 13 hours or more and i slept like a baby all threw the night i was shocked i did not feel a thing this is some good stuff and if it don't work on anybody else they have other issues cause my teeth were bad!!
