Dr. Ramachandran is an established neuroscientist and he explains with great authority how brain damage or the loss of a limb alters brain functioning in surprising ways. I love that the film is problem-oriented instead of show-buzz oriented. He explains the issues very clearly that is graspable even for people without scientific background still holds a wealth of information for those who have \"ears to hear\". I was especially fascinated by his explanation of the young man who became deeply spiritual after damage to certain parts of his brain - I think this phenomenon has far-reaching implications. It is very delighting and refreshing. A must for high school and college biology/psychology classes.
