"We registered for the Noritake graphite dinnerware for our wedding and love them! They are a great weight, clean nicely in the dishwasher, and look beautiful. We love the pasta serving set and the vegetable bowls too, they are great for serving sides in."

"They are holding up well and offer lots of possibilities with mixing and matching with other dishes. The serving pieces look great also."

"We've been using a graphite set of this dishes for a few months(dinner and salad plates, bowls, cups...).The conclusion is that, although we love their look, they get scratched very easily. It's a shame.Being an "everyday china", we hoped for a better performance and durability.Overall rating: Poor."

"I got this set off my registry as a gift and love them! They are very simple which I like because I can add pieces from other collections to spice them up. They are very durable. When I lived at home my mom always yelled at my because I do things quickly and would always bang the dishes against the counter and each other and they would chip... no chips so far and I've had them for about 6 months."

"At first I was afraid to use these dishes on a daily basis for fear that the color might fade or the edges would chip. But so far nothing has happened to them. We have been using them for over one year and could not have made a better choice! They are simple, contemporary, beautiful and long lasting!"

"I purchased a completed set for 8 last November. I was assured that this dinnerware would not etch and that it was dishwasher safe. The banding is already faded and scratched. The plates themselves are scratched and are etching from the knives used. I am extremely disappointed in this purchase. I definitely DO NOT recommend these at all. They now look horrible. My Mikasa dinnerware that I used for 20 years and my Platzgraf that I used for 20 years looked much better after so many years of use. These Noritake are ready for the garage sale!"

"These are great for every day dining and set a very impressive table for guests. There are a lot of really nice colors for different tastes - I prefer the graphite & don't really care for mixing colors. They are simple but elegant. They don't chip as mine have had few collisions/bumps just loading the dishwasher. Very well made as I would expect from Noritake. I keep adding different serving pieces to my collection - I am so happy they keep coming out with more to select from."

"When my fiance moved out of his mom's house 3 years ago, he needed a small set to use in his "bachelor pad." I took him shopping and we bought four place settings of the Noritake Colorwave in Graphite. To date, we have only broken one piece, and that was because we outright dropped it on a tile floor. The other pieces have held up flawlessly - through handwashing and dishwashers - and look amazing. In addition to registering for fine china, we have registered for several additional place settings and serving pieces for this reliable, functional, yet attractive set. This is our everyday china, and we absolutely love it. The mugs and bowls are especially useful, as many china sets have mugs and bowls that are too frou-frou to use - the bowls are large enough for pasta, and the mugs are GREAT for any hot beverage. I can't recommend these enough."

"We registered for the Noritake Colorwave dinnerware and received most of it for our engagement party over three years ago. We still use the plates, bowls, and mugs today. There are no stains, chips and continue to be dishwasher safe. We had hoped our design was not discontinued since it has been so long, and we were in luck to see the design still available. We are actually ordering pasta bowls, rice bowls and a larger platter today to add to our collection."

"I own the Noritake "Colorwave" 4 piece dinnerware set in graphite and I have no complaints at all. This set looks very good and more importantly is made of high quality. They haven't discolored, haven't scratched, haven't cracked, nor have they chipped. What I also like is that the mug and the soup bowl aren't too big, which is often the case. Additionally, the pieces in this set aren't too heavy, just about right. I've also expanded the number of sets I own since they have held up so well (much better than I thought). I highly recommend this collection."

"Aside from one small chip in a coffee cup...dishwasher caused it because I put something next to it....this product is perfect. I'm a male bachelor and wanted something simple and understated. This fit the bill perfectly and has lasted a year with no problems what so ever."

"I just purchased several of the 4-piece sets. They look great and have been holding up well. It was easy to chip one of the coffee cups when stacking them in sets of two, but the plates and bowls are very durable. The plates are a good size and easy to wash. Also, the bowls are wide and shallow which I find much easier to use when eating cereal and trying to get the spoon at the right angle. Small detail, but I found that it is nice. I really like the simple styling of this product. It looks clean and simple and allows you to really present your food without distracting patterns. Enjoy!"

"We registered for Colorwave for our wedding. We've been using the set for over a year, and I'm extremely pleased with them. No breaking or chipping, and the pieces seem very sturdy. My only complaint is that there are many different serving pieces that are not available through Macys. It would be great if they could stock a wider selection."

"My fiance and I registered for the Noritake "graphite" dishes after having dinner at a friends house and using their Noritake dinnerware. A great set. Elegant and casual at the same time. Great pasta bowl and nice deep rice bowls."

"I have owned this dinnerware for over 6 years and still love it - the graphite color goes with everything, and I love how the sets can be mixed and matched. The dishes are dishwasher safe and have not chipped or scratched. I recently ordered the small bowls and Calla Lily plates (from the beige collection) and it was a great update to an already fabulous set. I am not a formal person, so this works great for having guests for dinner - I definitely recommend this dinnerware!"

"I received as a wedding gift my set, have truly loved them except the dinner plates, are getting worn, small scratches, possibly from using a steak knife to cut meat, not all dishes but more than a few. I keep these on top, so I dont ruin my entire set, but prob. 6 out of 12 now have lots of scratches, still this isnt fine china and i am mostly happy about them, my white heritage phaltzgraf did the same thing over time., When I get rich perhaps I will invest in Denby!"

"This stoneware not only looks fabulous, but is definitely worth purchasing. I have owned mine for over a year and have not had so much as a chip or a crack; it is very durable. Cleans easily and washes nicely in the dishwasher."

"We've had this set for two years now and we are very happy with all of the pieces. The charcoal color is a great neutral and we have two different types of accent plates (floral and polka dot) for dessert and salad. We have had good luck with the plain graphite plates -- I know other users complained that they broke, but we haven't seen that. Since there are not a lot of serving plates, I got some fun ones from the Denby Jet Stripes series that match very well and dress up the table. We use this every day and we've only had one bowl chip (overloaded dishwasher) and one break (clumsy husband)."

"I have the entire collection of the graphite dinnerware and my husband and I are very happy with it. It has a clean and simple look, yet elegant in the shape and matte dark gray texture of the underside/outersides. It looks good enough to use for a nice dinner, but sturdy enough for us to use everyday (and we do!).As for one of the other comments who complained of the square serving dish braking - this happened to me too. However upon returning it to Macy's they notified me these items had been recalled and they gave me a refund.Other than that, they rest of the set (plates, bowls, mugs, cups, pasta bowls, rice bowls) are extremely durable and stand up to repeated oven, microwave and dishwasher use.Classic dinnerware that will still look elegant even ten years from now in my opinion. A good investment."

"Any of the non-glazed pieces (like the square plates) chip very easily. I have had the large square plates one year and have now thrown away eleven of the original twelve that I purchased. The glazed pieces, like the plate that comes in the place setting, are fine. I am very disappointed."

"We registered for this stonewear and we love it! It is formal enough for our guest but nice for everyday as well. It goes with Asian or contemporary styles and is sturdy (my husband really likes it). We wanted a service for 8 so we got 2 each of four colors."

"We had this setting as our base setting for our family. The graphite color is nice because you can dress it up or down with accent plates. The plates heat up faster than the food in the microwave but are very strong. Over 4 years of rough use we have only broken 2 bowls. the plates seem to be stronger. The mugs are nice"
