Music plays well with or without a headset so why should Netflix, Xfinity TV Player or Movies play with volumes so low you can barely hear them? I did a side by side comparison with another tablet and my phone all playing the identical file that I transferred to all of them. The other devices played loudly whereas the Nexus 7 was barely audible. I later discovered that it's a flaw in all of the Nexus 7 tablets. Perhaps that is why they revamped them and they will be released July 30, 2013. I wish I had waited.

Great little tablet. Very intuitive and easy to use. Small enough to carry with you, yet large enough to easily read the clear vivid screen. Has long battery life and fast charge rate. You can't beat the cost/value of this tablet. I take this tablet with me when traveling and leave my laptop at home. Friends and family members have purchased this tablet after using mine. They also make a great gift. I have purchased 3 of these and given two as gifts and they love their tablet as much as I do mine.

I purchased two of these tablets from Staples in February and April. Both needed repairs after only a month. The second one was sent back twice and they did not fix the charging problem, so I have to send it back a third time. I asked ASUS if possible to replace it since it needed repair so much and isn't even that old, but they said they won't replace it with a new one. staples will also not take it back after only a few days. Repairs take several weeks, plus I have to pay for shipping since there is not a local fed ex office to bring it too (costs money apparently to have them pick it up). Due to two of them having so many problems, I will never buy one again despite how nice they seem (great size and weight an easy navigation). I also must mention the Google app store is not good. They don't have many apps that Apple has, nor do I feel they are very secure. A lot of apps appear to come from overseas and I've had problems with false charges which took a long time to debate with the company. Google was pretty good about refund after I complained, but my security apps often detect spyware or malware on the apps from Google. I did read an article that said Google was not as "safe" as other app stores and I agree.

I have owned many tablets and the Nexus 7 is my favorite. No adds from amazon evry time you turn it on. I check my e-mail, watch net flicks, play games, check facebook, and read books on my tablet with no problems. I have never had the screen freeze or had the tablet lock up. My kids use it a great deal also. I can use my charger for my phone so I do not need a separate charger. In my household (lots of children) we have a Galaxy2,Ipad,Kindle fire, Kindle fire HD and my favorite Nexus 7. From now on we will be replacing tablets when needed with Nexus 7.

Great tablet for surfing and internet. Good wireless speed and wonderful screen resolution. If you're looking for an affordable tablet for general use that has Android, the Nexus 7 wins hands down. I've already read one book, read my month magazines online and surf YouTube. Great tablet. No microsd card slot, but with the right cable and app you can connect a flash drive to your Nexus. With 32 gig of storage I haven't even used 10% with heavy usage. I don't plan to download films though, especially when I can store them on a flash drive.

I have not used it outside yet but for inside reading this was a better option than other products I researched. My only "regret" is that I waited so long before making the purchase.

Has a lot of storage space for apps. Easy to set up. Very clear screen. I need more technical know how before I can fully take advantage of all its features. The only negative so far is that it only takes photos from the front.

This is my first Android product. I am totally happy with the quality of the Nexus 7. Great for browsing the internet, checking email, watching Netflix, etc. The only disappointment that I have, some of the apps that I have on my Iphone are also available for Android, but after installing them, many don't have some valuable features that are on the Apple apps. I can't blame that on the Nexus 7. Anyone that has only used Android, don't really now what they are missing on these apps.

I have been waiting a while to get what I wanted at a great price. I did a bit of research and pricing. I really did not want a 16gb because I felt it was not enough storage. The person I spoke to in the store recommended it over the Kindle Fire, and told me Google had more programs.
I am very happy with it and recommended it to my daughter, who also purchased one today.
I have had absolutely no problems with this and have finally made the step that has enriched my life. I am reading e-books and downloaded library audio books. I am not using it for music as I have three ipods that are full of that and only downloading thinking and memory games. I also wanted something that would be similar to the ipad mini and this fits the bill at about half the price. Love it.

This is an excellent tablet that I would recommend to anyone. The only 2 issues that you may encounter with this tablet are that it doesn't have a rear facing camera (the new model does) and that there isn't a pre-loaded camera app for the front-facing camera. I easily overcame these issues because I quickly downloaded a camera app to solve that issue and I don't need a rear-facing camera for a tablet since I take pictures with my phone anyway. This tablet performs extremely well. It is quick, has a nice screen, etc.

Sharp and vibrant, fits right in my purse when I'm on the go and has plenty of free apps at the play store for use with everything. My only issues are it seemed to heat up some while running and it doesn't have the rear facing camera which I decided I'd like to have so I took it back and will be getting the newer nexus.

I've been keeping an eye on this product for quite a while-bought a different product before this came out-it wouldn't charge any more so I saw a great price on Staples.com and odered it. I couldn't be happier. I'm still getting used to it. I love the fact that you can get both Kindle and Nook on it, so instead of having to switch between them for different apps, I now have them all on one which is a hugh plus. There's a hugh amount of free apps that can be downloaded. I purchased the 3G model my last one was only 8G so I can download much more onto this tablet-I'm very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it.

This is an excellent tablet that I would recommend to anyone. Compared to the iPad Mini, the Asus Google Nexus 7 is a better size because it is a little slimmer so it can fit in one hand perfectly.

This is a great tablet. I use it for both reading and games. When reading, the backlighting is perfect and for gaming the speed is fast with bright clear colors. Apps are simple to get with a large number of free apps for both games and other uses, such as reading apps for Kindle and Kobo, available easily through Google Play. Weight of the tablet feels good in your hand, substantial but not too heavy. The back has a nice coating on it so it doesn't slip when you are holding it without a plastic feel. The Corning glass front is smooth and very easy to remove fingerprints.

This is the most versitile little tablet ever. I use it to browse the web and check email. I found many many free apps and games. I can read kindle books with a free app I downloaded from the Kindle store. I can read nook books with a free app I downloaded from the Google store. I also read books from the library with a free app. Many old standard novels and bios are free.
    Interesting apps I found are:
Google Sky Map -- you can move the tablet overhead at night and match the stars in the sky with the stars shown on the tablet. This will allow you to identify the stars, planets and constillations.
Phases of the Moon lets you see the moon as it looked on any day in the past or future.
Skype lets you see and talk with video calls free to any other skype user. etc. etc. etc.

I've had both 10" and 7" tablets, and I really prefer a 7" tablet. It's much easier to hold in one hand, and in my experience, have the same resolution as a 10", so appear much crisper. I don't like that there is no rear facing camera. This can make taking pictures awkward at best. The rear facing speakers send the sound away from you, making it hard to hear at times. Otherwise, this is an excellent tablet at a reasonable price with a LOT of features.

Nexus 7, 32GB, gives me the versatility in a compact form that permits me to do both business and personal computing/internet-related tasks. I take it everywhere instead of 17.3" laptop!

This 7 inch tablet was a replacement after my 10 inch Transformer Prime was stolen. It is extremely good for what it is. It is a very good value at half the price of the Transformer but, as one should expect, it does not have all the capabilities of the more expensive model.

I'm using this little tablet for organization, scheduling and my calendar, e-reader, games, music, syncing with my Mac. The only major drawback is there are too many apps to pick from. You can spend a lot of time reading, download and trying an app. There are so many that are free you can get rid of the ones you end up rejecting. I am looking forward to being able to sync with my Mac for PowerPoint presentations and controlling my Mac by remote. The battery life has been good. It last all day under heavy use. Most are not going to be used like that anyway. Also, my next area to venture into will be a Bluetooth keyboard.
Our school is considering these for our younger students because of the reasonable cost. Our Middle and High School are "one to one" with Macs.

This tablet is magnificent. Very easy to set up and use right away. Great battery life (about 10 hours). The jelly bean operating system is so easy and efficient. ASUS makes a great product. I have the 10 inch ASUS Transformer and like this device 10 times better.
Don't over pay for the Apple device. This Android product is much easier to useand has plenty of apps. The 32 GB is such a value at this price. I tried the Kindle fire before this device and this Nexus 7 wins hands down. If you can get your hands on one, you won't want to put it down.

I was very excited about getting my first tablet, and the Nexus 7 did not disappoint. I haven't run it completely through its paces, but have downloaded some of my own books and video, as well as using Chrome extensively and checking in on my email multiple times a day.

I've ordered a couple of USB OTG cables, but haven't yet tested the ease of using flash drives as spare storage.

All in all, for both Web browsing and reading email, this tablet shines. The on-screen keyboard is of course slower to type on than a physical keyboard, but with a strong Wi-Fi connection, browsing is otherwise nearly as speedy as I expect from a 30Mb wired connection. Writing lengthy emails likewise is less than efficient. But I find the form factor to be a slam dunk for getting through the inbox. The screen is big enough to show all that you need to see in most cases without scrolling, and managing labels is a breeze.
