This book shelf is much more attractive than the picture. In addition to the 4-tier, I also bought a 3-tier and am buying another 3-tier tomorrow to add to the 4. It is very easy to assemble and sturdy. Because of the open design, it is useful for many things such as books, piictures, lamp on top shelf, etc. The shelves are pretty in color and go with most other furniture. The openness and spacing between shelves give you a very useful piece of furniture that opens up your room instead of the look of a closed bookshelf. Would recommend to anyone, especially in smaller rooms .
