      I know there's a certain prestige in using a thick layer of dirt to protect your boots, but if you want your stuff to last, you gotta keep it clean. This stuff was amazing on my filthy pair of Asolo Fugitive GTX boots - they look darn close to brand new again. I used a nylon brush to remove the really ground-in dirt, as the instructions suggest.
