This game was one of the best Mario kart games. First off the challenge, the challenge was not the best, as I couldn't beat mirror mode in the older games but can in Mario kart ds. The challenge was not that easy though, but not a good game if you want a real challenge. The controls in this game were amazing, and the best of all the Mario kart games. Turning is not nearly as sensitive, so you feel in complete control. The graphics are great for a ds game. It has #d graphics that really took it a stage ahead. The sound is fun but they can always get old after a while. This game has lots of wonderful tracks, with a great variety. Not only does it have 4 whole new cups with 4 tracks in each, but also has 4 cups featuring tracks from all the old Mario kart series. The game has a good variety of vehicles from acceleration, to speed, to power, and has some vehicle customization with emblem making where you create an emblem and can put it on your car. This game is overall and fun action packed game. It's almost impossible to get bored with with so many features. Not only does it have racing, but battles, missions, and nintendo Wi-Fi connection where you can race against your friends or take on people world wide. I would diffidently recommend this game to racing fans or people who are ready for a fun filled game with lots of action.

I have had this game for like 2 yrs: IT IS NEVER OLD!!! You can make your own emblem and nickname. There are four levels of tracks (50cc, 100cc, 150cc and 150cc mirror-all the courses backwards.) Up to eight people can play at the same time no matter if they have the game or not (DS download play, free and easy). But you can't chose your character in it though. With the game is the best, all the stuff you unlocked and everything else. It has Wi-Fi play with people all around the world. The sound is amazing, it is very clear and not muffled at all. The graphics are very good for the DS, which has not the best graphics sometimes, but this is a major exception. As the game goes on, the levels get faster in race speed and the CPU's get harder to beat and are smarter. I just wish the price would go down so my friends could all buy it. Overall I recommend this game to any race, Mario, or just plain fun game fan.

Nintendo seems to have a niche for creating games that are fun for all ages. Mario Kart DS is no exception. Except for the cramping in my right hand from extended playing, I really have no complaints about this game. There are a variety of modes of game play to keep you interested. I love the drifting and drafting abilities as well as the classic Mario Kart weapons. In Time Trial mode, you actually race against your best time, complete with a "ghost image" replay of your old race. This allows you to compete against yourself. In Battle Mode, the balloon battles are the best. The other battle is Shine Runners where you have to steal shines from other players. Grand Prix and Vs modes are where I tend to spend a lot of my time, which is classic Mario Kart racing complete with the slinging of banana peels, turtle shells, and many other Mario weapons. The music and graphics are great, and some of the courses are a real pleasure to look at. I normally do not like driving games because I cannot seem to stay on the track. I picked up on Mario Kart DS quickly, and once I got down the art of drifting through turns, I was hooked. I recommend this game for all ages.

This is a fun gameOnce you get to 100 or 150cc the game gets very challenging for me its almost impossible but still fun.i think they should have more characters from sega or other nintendo gamesi think it would be cool if you could customize you own track and car.the sound is pretty goodsome cars are very hard to turn with so you end up in the dirt.bowser is pretty slow but when he is played by the ds he is quite fast and makes exellent turns Here is a list of people: Mario luigi Peach Yoshi Toad Donkey kong Wario Bowser Daisy Dry bones WaluigiSome of these people you will need to unlock by beating racesThere are 2 prixswhich have 4 cups eachwith 4 races in each cup which makes 32 races total16 races are new and 16 are from prevouis games

My 7 year old loves this game. Even his 14 yr old brother and 10 yr sister like to play. Like the other Mario games, you have to unlock something.

This is a great game! I think it is even harder than the original Nintendo 64 game that I was addicted to! Lots of challenges. Only bad thing is that its so addicting, my hands hurt after awhile! You just CAN'T put it down! I highly recommend to anyone who likes a challenge to get it!!!

4 of my kids connect and play this on their DSI's all the time. Of all the games they've gotten over the years, this one is still their favorite. It's fun and challenging to race each other or to play on the same team.
