I bought this for my husband's birthday over a month ago and he hasn't been able to get it installed by Best Buy. When we purchased it we made an installation appointment at Best Buy for that same week. We gave them the vehicle information and cell phone number. When my husband showed up he was told that they didn't have the right parts. He has had 3 appointments (taking time off from work) and the deck is still not installed even though we have already paid for the installation. Terrible, Terrible, Terrible customer service.

My husband bought this stereo for me for mother's day. Everything was great until we had the installation done at Best Buy in Pearl City. They left the key turned and took so long they completely drained the battery so that it wouldn't recharge. We ended up having to purchase a new car battery, so I am very unhappy about that. The stereo is great, but the installation is a HUGE disappointment. Definitely WON'T be having anymore installations done at this location.

Overall, I really like this stereo. I primarily bought it so I could stream audio from my phone via Bluetooth which works great and effortlessly. I really had no intention of using it for handling phone calls but of course I had to try. The few people I've tried holding a conversation with described it as extremely loud and noisy... almost like being in a wind tunnel. Again, I did not intend to use it for phone calls so this is not big deal for me. My iPhone 4S automatically connects to the stereo as soon as I start the car. Spotify, SiriusXM and iTunes all work great and I've had no hiccups. The SiriusXM app does not display any meta information (channel info, track, album, artist, etc) but this is a short coming of the app itself and not the stereo. Overall, I love this stereo and it works perfectly for what I need and the cost was well worth it. If you are looking for a stereo that to handle phone calls then I would recommend getting with with an external microphone that you can position and mount yourself.

In general it's working OK, but the hands-free feature (which was the primary reason I bought this model instead of a cheaper one) is pretty much useless. Yes you CAN yell at it and they can mostly hear you, but the models with a remote mic are going to be infinitely better.

I've been wanting a new car stereo ever since I got my 1st iPhone. Finally went looking on Sunday and found this one for a great price with all the features I was looking for! To my surprise I was able to get it installed immediately! Gene was wonderful and paired my iPhone for me and showed me some of the features. I'm so in love with my stereo that I just want to drive for hours! * Bluetooth: Can listen to my iPhone music, Pandora or answer phone calls wirelessly. *USB: Can charge my iPhone while listening & can use the built in Pandora buttons to give songs thumbs up or down. (if using Pandora with BT you can't do this) *Great sound & price *Remote included

this stereo is GREAT! my only complaint is that it takes a little too long, for me, for my decive to connect and start playing music. also, it doesn't have a built in microphone for phone calls. NOT that big a deal. GREAT STEREO!! It's my 3 generation from Kenwood, trusted brand

Ever since I got a smartphone, I have been kicking around the idea of getting a head unit that would allow me to stream audio directly through Bluetooth to the stereo. I was looking around for something to blow the $120 in Reward Zone points on, and settled on a stereo upgrade, since I'm on the road for 80 miles 5 days a week. This is a very well-designed unit. I'm pretty handy, so pulling my old JVC receiver out only involved 8 screws total, and mating up the wiring harness was a snap. All that I had to do was link up the wires to everything, connect the harness and the sub outs and the radio antenna and screw it back in, and I was golden. As far as using it is concerned, it's overall very easy to use. The included remote (why there is one, I'm not sure) is well-laid out. Pairing was a little confusing since the phone was displaying a code that the stereo didn't, but other than that hiccup, it was easy to get it linked. There are a wealth of settings for sound, display, and functionality. My only "gripe" with the menus is that they could've been laid out a little better. You push the volume knob and have to choose between audio settings, settings for the rest, and whether to use the demo mode. I would have preferred a direct link to the audio settings and another means of changing other settings. This is a very minor complaint. The only other issue that I have with the unit is that only Apple/iOS devices are supported for using the built-in Pandora control. Since I have a BlackBerry Torch 9810, this is a little annoying. All is not lost, however. Not only does it work with streaming the music I have loaded directly on to the phone (over 1800 files), it works with Nobex Radio Companion over BT as well as with the BB Pandora app. Nobex is just an app that aggregates streaming terrestrial radio feeds and it can be streamed over BT. The Pandora app also streams wonderfully, and even supports the skipping ahead feature. So this is another very minor gripe. Overall, even though I haven't used it much, I'm very much pleased with the performance and sound (having a pair of 12" subs doesn't hurt). When a call comes in, it pauses the music and allows you to answer the call through the stereo, you don't even have to touch your phone. The quality of that audio is also similar to a BT headset. If you're looking for a BT unit, I'm already in love with this thing. And I haven't even tried using it with the phone plugged in over USB.

My phone paired fine with the unit, sometimes worked okay, other time the person I was calling could not hear me. I didn't buy this unit for that purpose, so I deleted the the phone use. Really cool letting my son change the songs with the ipod from the back seat. For some reason, the rear speakers are not working with this unit. I'm going to have to do some additional trouble shooting, but I fear I will need to return this unit and replace it since the front speakers and balance work okay, just nothing when attempting to fade to rear.

I love this radio and love the hands free Bluetooth my only complaint is that when playing pandora radio from my phone through the Bluetooth there is no bass. That is the only reason i give it a 4 and not 5 everything else i love about it.

Basically, I would give this a 4 thumbs up. I cannot give it 5 as I have had better sound clarity out of of JVC, Pioneer, and Sony products previously. It does have some nice features, but I am less than impressed with the local stations this radio will not pickup.

Had it for a coupler of months now. The switch to phone automatically is awesome. Hands free is great. Bluetooth to phone, and playlist is great I use it with a galaxy s3 and the wife with iPhone 4. Both work great.

A surprising sound system for a sub $200 price tag. Bluetooth sync with the iphone is stellar. Pandora & iPod interface are seamless. Built in equalizer presets are good but user settings offer great individual taste. 50w x 4 channels is plenty of power for the average listener, but auxiliary inputs for subwoofers are built in. Wireless remote control works well. My only gripe has been the hands free microphone. The incoming sound from a call is good through the speakers but, the built in mic on the front of the face plate requires the user to nearly yell while the vehicle is being driven. Beyond that...this is one fine CD receiver for the price

I like to the unit as a whole. But the reason I bought it was for the Bluetooth connectivity. It worked fine streaming Pandora and I heart radio, but built-in microphone was lousy. i couldn't speak with anybody that could understand me. I ended up buying a different manufacturers stereo With wired microphone. Since I did that everybody has been able to hear me clearly on my phone calls. I think the problem with the built-in microphone is it's too close to the engine and picks up a lot of noise. I had it in a 2001 tacoma.

If you're looking for something to replace your old head unit, this is the one to get. Kenwood is an awesome brand with great sound and great features. I wanted to upgrade my ugly head unit on my 2001 Chevy Malibu LS and get something that had Easy iPod connectivity, built-in bluetooth with hands free calling, and pandora streaming. I was looking into this model, a pioneer 6400HD and Alpine 133BT. I ended up purchasing this head unit the other day and had it installed in my car with the help of a friend. The installation went well, but had an issue figuring out a couple of wires due to GM brands making our lives miserable with their poor colors compared to Japanese cars lol. But all went well and I also bought a really nice Metra Single Din Kit off eBay for a good price which made my entire head unit look beautiful. One bummer was that I thought this model came with a microphone but it didn't but it's not a big deal. The calling is very easy and has great quality. I would recommend this model to anyone who's new with stereo's and what not like myself, and looking to upgrade.

Great for streaming music, but the microphone for calls coming in, people say you sound so far away, should have a external microphone but it does not.

Much better than the factory CD+tape deck. Plays CDs fine, nice to have the USB plug (which also charges). Bluetooth can be a little finicky, but I've read that's pretty common. Had to unpair my Galaxy Nexus, delete from device history, and then re-pair before it worked reliably. Sound quality is great.

I put this into my classic Nova, and the illumination was able to be switched to Orange, just as I wanted. The power of the deck is great, and the sound clarity is also great. The ipod interface is easy to use and it even displays the info on the screen of the deck.... Awesome!
