This disposal was installed into a house that I only spent a few days a week at and was rarely used. It should have lasted a lifetime but the casing cracked and began leaking in less than two years. Spend a little more money and get something more durable.

This was super easy to put in, even in an old stainless sink that has its days numbered until this summer when I redo the sink and counter top. The price on this was the best I could find and since I compost most of my waste this should last quite a while ! (I hope)!

Home Depot and its products are my home store. I only purchase from Home Depot due to ease and lack of stress. Online is just as easy but I don't have a friendly person helping me. Great job and keep up the great work. Naturally, I wouldn't shop there is the service, products and people were so kind. My garbage disposal works excellent but I am not surprised. That is just how Home Depot does it. No worries at all. Thank you.

This garbage disposal (that came with our 9 year old house) died because our baby's washcloth go caught down the drain and fried the motor. Oops. This was a perfect, affordable replacement and was easy to install! No complaints here. Just a word of caution... for some reason the new model is called " InSinkErator Badger 100 1/3 HP Continuous Feed Garbage Disposer" and it's $10 more. I even called HD's customer service to verify. So, of course, I stuck with the older, cheaper model and still got free shipping!

I just bought this Badger because our old one that came with the house conked out after 20 plus years. The new one was not that hard to put in according to my husband. It took him an hour, after getting the old one out. The old one was a bit noisy and so is this one. I guess it's the brand. Overall it's been doing the job and the price was good. I got it delivered and it took about a week to come during the holidays.

I was nervous about buying one of the most inexpensive disposals there was. But I've now had this disposal in for two months and have had no issue. My wife really puts it to task and it has not shown any sign of strain. The noise level is decent. Yes there are some a lot quieter, but I have definetly had some in the past that have been much louder. Noise level is not a complaint at all. Quality seems fine. I would recommend it.

The Quick-Mounting System was wonderful. My husband is 75 years old. With a little help from a neighbor, they had the old garbage disposal out and the new one installed. It took less than an hour and a half. Everything matched up PERFECTLY. If I had known how easy it was to install this garbage disposal, I would have bought it a year ago. This product is the identical replacement for my 8 yrs. and 9 mos. old disposer. All I care is that it is easy to install, great value and the same in all dimensions, which I do not have to worry about making adjustments to any of the pipes. I only follow the video instructions online, it was very clear and helpful. This product does not come with an electrical cord. So reuse the old one if you can.

I bought this to replace the same model that was about 9 or 10 years old. After I got the new one installed, I found out that the problem was a bad wall switch. So the old one was still working, although it did show some signs of internal corrosion, possibly from a leaky seal. Considering the low price for this unit, if you get 9 or 10 years service, I think that is a good value.

The builder put this model in my house, I'm sure it was the cheapest he could get. Nothing fancy, just your basic economy disposal. However, my family used it heavily year after year. Eventually it did develop cracks in the sides and leak, but I wouldn't expect these to last forever. Badger disposals are still made in the good old U.S.A. and I recommend any of the InSinkErator line. I replaced our leaking Badger 1 with one of their upper line 3/4 HP Evolution multi-grind models and switching them out with the quick-mounting system was a cinch. But if you are on a tight budget the Badger 1 should work just fine.

I purchased this disposer back in June 2006. It never failed me until just last month when the plastic base at the top cracked and leaks when turned on. No complaints. For the money you can't ask for more durability for over 6 years that I had it. Like everything, all good things must come to an end as wear and tear is inevitable. Although it has no noise insulation, the noise is not that bad, not any worse than a comparable disposer. I would definetely recommend this to anyone in my family who does not want to buy a fancier unit. I may consider the "evolution" line of disposers which Home Depot sells but if money becomes an issue, then I'll buy this same unit.

Lasts about 12-18 months before the motor gives out. I am forced to use it because of the compact size.The online price was $30 less than the in store part, identicaldisposer, Badger 1 and Badger 100, not sure why Home Depot does this and charges more, it was inconveinet for me.

Bought this to replace the exact model that was leaking from the bottom. It was 8 years old. I think 5 years of hard water killed it. I now have a water conditioner so I expect the new disposal will last much longer. Its fairly quiet, works efficiently, does the job! I wouldn't put all the things in it I have read that you can like, coffee grounds, celery, egg shells. I just don't think that's smart but, it says it can handle it! It was a pretty quick install, about 30 mins. I bought the plug in wiring kit as well which is easy I think.
