There is nothing to talk about this. It is Family Guy. You need to have an open sense of humor to enjoy the show.

OK, It's a Family Guy DVD, which would be enjoyed by any fan of the show. The plot is typical, the characters are in character. It's a cartoon, so acting is limited to the voices of the actors, which sound pretty good.

Family Guy keeps plugging along. This set includes the "Three Kings" episode.

...however, I have to agree with someone of my other fellow reviewers. These episodes, collectively, are not among some of the funniest episodes of the series. Sure, there are a few episodes that stand out, but there are more funny moments in the episodes versus one episode that stands out. And why can't we have one season in one collection? I would like to see all of this season, not just the first half of it. Now I have to wait what another 6 months to a year for the rest...well that sucks. Also, the packaging seems like the whole thing was just stuffed together. If I'm not mistaken, there isn't even an episode summary anywhere. You just have to guess which episode you want to watch. But all in all, Family Guy is still Family Guy.

I have ALL the Family Guy volumes. I couldn't stop now. But they have been putting fewer and fewer episodes in the volumes. That's super lame. They're splitting seasons up so they can sell the episodes by "volume" rather than by "season". It's ultra lame.

Family Guy has been dropping in quality for a couple of years. This volume is follows that trend unfortunately. The only reason I bought it so soon was the fact that it was only twenty dollars.

I have been a fan of the show since it's ORIGINAL debut after the Super Bowl in 1999. Course, how they have done the DVD releases it is NOT right that you can NOT get a complete season in 1 DVD package. The episodes in this DVD are NOT up to normal "Family Guy" standards. No stand out episodes. Only a couple of episodes "Fox-y Lady" & "Brian's Got A Brand New Bag" have jokes I want to rewind to see again. Uncensored. Unlike when they just slapped curse words in "The Empire Strikes Back" straight to video release where most of the curse words were just there because they could get away with it but they did NOT work. In Volume 8 they do work & go along with the story script. Of these episodes notable for me "Three Kings" with the "Star Wars" figurine bit & of course Richard Dreyfess & the late Roy Scheider together again for the "Jaws" references. This episode aired of course after Roy's death in 2008. "Family Goy" episode has 2 "Star Wars" saga references & also an "Indiana Jones" reference. The "Spies Like Us" episode "Spies Reminiscent Of Us" good idea for an episode & good to see Dan & Chevy were used. Now, we can complain again the DVD makers went cheap with the horrible plastic cases. You have an episode list but not like in the older DVD releases you get NO information on that episode. Cheap plastic disc holders. Normal extras on the DVD package.

Family Guy Volume 8 is a pretty good set of episodes. Unlike all of the previous seasons this one contains only a handful of episodes that I would watch again and again. One nice thing about this season is that it has 15 episodes which is the most since volume 2. But this certainly not my favorite season of Family Guy.
