This hat blocks wind very well, but it does not breathe at all. I break a sweat any time I put it on. Maybe I need a haircut or something, but this thing is just bad for staying dry in the winter.

Purchased to use running in the cold. I have had to pair with an earwarmer since it is not large enough to cover my ears. It is still a little big overall and moves around when I'm running. Definitely holds up to it's promise of stopping the wind and protecting from the elements. It was a good buy for the price, but my future purchase will include ear flaps so I don't need two products for one job.

Used this product on a 10 day trek in the Himalayas. Used it almost everyday to cover up from strong winds and chilly mornings. Great to wear all day and even sleep in during those times your sleeping bag just isn't cutting it. Very soft to touch and has a true wind-stopper layer. Only downside is that this fit does come in VERY small so make sure you are looking for this. Although I like the tight fitting nature of this hat it's a bit too short and usually doesn't keep both ears covered at all times. Also the breathability is an issue with this product so it should not be seen as a high intensity performance gear as your head will overheat way too fast.

have at least two sizes offered -

I ordered this for a child and so I ordered the small/medium. It is tagged as such on a card on the outside, and yet the beanie is tagged as a large on the inside. It is larger than I anticipated.

Great hat for cold weather. Felt just a half-size too small though I do have thick hair which might be the problem. Covers the top of my ears and fits snug on my head.

Bought this hat just in time for a long weekend in NYC in January. Even on the coldest day was able to walk all over mid-town and downtown Manhattan. It has that "Timothy Pool" journalist look. So go ahead and Occupy Wall Street, but stay warm in your EMS Wind stopper fleece cap.

A fine cold-weather hat, densely knit with soft fleece fabric around the face. It looks like it would hold up well to frequent use and washing. Unfortunately, it runs very small and I could not use it for my intended purpose -running- because when I put it on at home, it continually tried to shift up, leaving my ears exposed. I am a 115-pound female with what I thought was an average-sized head, but a S/M was way too small. I would buy this in the store if I could try it on first, but I would not order it again over the internet. Probably a great hat for active cold weather use, if you can get the sizing right.

I've worn the EMS WindStopper hat on several winter trail runs with temperatures hovering around 10 degrees. It's hard to believe that something so comfortable and light can keep your head warm and dry, but it does. Very well. I know on my next run, no matter how cold the weather, I'll be able to put this hat on and forget about it!

I use the cap for jogging. I live on an island in the north Atlantic, and this completely stops the wind and keeps the heat in. Even in stiff winds it stays put. Very comfortable, least intrusive, cut right for the head and somehow covers the ears perfectly, even though they are small flaps.
