I had one in fairly steady use for about a year when it started leaking badly on one side ( maybe both, I haven't checked the other side. ) I guess that's what happens when you make a valve out of plastic; I was pretty much expecting it not to last. However, I'm going to buy another one.My original reason for getting this was to avoid skinning my knuckles against the spigot handle every time I tried to open the Y-valve, and also to have something my old folks could easily work with their hands. In those regards, it was a complete success while it lasted. The big plastic downward-pointing handles are much easier to use than the tiny ones on standard brass valves. I've had one or two of those blow up on me as well, so it's not like they last all that long either.Wish there was something like this with a solid brass body instead of plastic.

While at HD I saw this in the garden section and thought this is just what I need. I bought two, installed them and within two months one side quit working on both of them. The handle will not turn the screw to open the valve. I then read the reviews and saw where others had the same problems as me.

I bought this product 3 months ago and now the ball valve will not open on one side. It is a waste of money and I am surprised that Home Depot would sell such a defective product.

I bought this last fall with plans to use it the following year for irrigating my lawn. Well, early summer hit with a dry spell and i pull the sprinklers out and hooked it up to my brand new Nelson dual outlet adapter. The first time i tried to use it, water would not come out one side. When i investigated, the shut off knob would turn but the ball valve inside would not. It appears that the stem has sheared the first time i turned the lever. Then, i had to get a pair of pliers to get the hose off because the male connector on the adapter was spinning on the hose under the strain relief spring on the adapter. This unit is a total piece of junk and it doesn't appear the company ever even tested their product before selling it to the market. I called the company and they said it only had a 90 day warranty but after threatening not to buy from Bosch (company who market Nelson) anymore, he handed me to his manager and he said that if I pay to ship the unit (probably as much as I paid for it to start with), they would evaluate and consider doing a courtesy replacement. DO NOT BUY this product!

Turned it on and the valve on one side started to leak. Was the first use. Going to give them the benefit of bad QC and get a replacement. I will follow up.

Had two of these, first outlet blew completly off from the adapter, the second started leaking after two moinths. Go with the solid metal adapters. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS PIECE OF JUNK!

This is the second time I've bought this product. Both times it has lasted maybe 2 months. Both times the shut off valves start to leak and will not shut off completely. The valve itself seems to be made of soft light duty plastic and the action of turning it on and off actually stretches the plastic valve preventing it from shutting off.It is also a sealed unit so no repairs can be made.DO NOT BUY!!

This dual faucet extender failed miserably after only 2 months of use. The glue holding the faucet end just let go resulting in a disconnected hose. It is not repairable. I'm very disapointed with this product - I had purchased a similiar product two years ago and it lasted nearly two years. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

This item is inferior in more then one-way both short hoses leak, the brass leaks, the control handle are very light duty and break easy. I have a small hobby farm. I use about 500 feet of garden hose and I thought this was the answer to all my hose needs wall I was wrong I had over $200.00 invested in this product line and after using the warranty for 50% of items used. I gave up. They do not hold up,

I didn't even want to give it one star. I used it for about 3 months and put it away for the winter. I took it out this week and connected it. As soon as I began moving my hose toward the area to water, it broke and snapped the main hose connector portion right off leaving the attachment still screwed onto the spigot. I am returning it today. PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Sure, it looks heavy-duty and functional but mine didn't make it even a year before it started seriously leaking. Tried to take apart and lube it but the cheap plastic stem just wasn't cooperating. It also tends to leak at the connection points because the end starts spinning before it can be snugly tightened. The consensus in these reviews is genuine: avoid!

Had product for 1.5 months.. valves will not open and close correctly, leaks.. tightened up the screws; now one side will not work. Wasted my money. I should have looked at the reviews before buying it.. a complete waste of money and I have other things I would prefer to waste my money on.
