I bought 5 of this window in 2009 and 11 in 2010, 3 from the previous year and 7 from the second purchased started leaking that if you guys remember the horrible winter we had in 2010. I went to home depot because I am still under warranty they gave the manufacture number I called them they sent a technician 2 months later. When I showed him video and pictures of suet all around the windows and between the panels, he said he doesn't understand he put on some weather strips in a few windows. But now we in October 2011 everything back the same way again, this time I am feeling some draft. Some of these windows were installed by a pro I payed $ 70 installation for the first 3 out of the first 5 one, the rest I did them myself.

I had two issues with the window. The first is that the vinyl joints on the window are quite rough and detract from the look of the window. They also make it hard to trim the window. The second issue is the incorporated moulding. I guess the idea is let you avoid putting wood trim around the window. But, it makes it harder to run the siding up to the edges and makes no sense at all on the top. You have to make a drip ledge to keep water out of the channel. That would be avoided if the top trim was just solid. Still, for the price you can work around the problems.

I am a Handyman that has used many different brands of windows. The overall construction of the 3000 series was a very good fit for a home owner on a fixed budget. With shipping costs and price of a unit the window was no more expensive than most other brands. Quality was very good and the packaging was even better for shipping. Will use many more times in future!

The windows were installed and they look great. They operate flawless.,The only problem is that the white sides are to wide on the frame and you loose to much of the clear opening.

The window was easy to install, but we've noticed that it is difficult to close it properly so that the latches can be done. While it isn't terrible, my 9 year old cannot close it properly and this is right next to his bedroom.
