This is the best off the shelf cleaner I've ever used. Make sure you keep plenty in stock. I had a bit of trouble finding in it the store. It turned out to be on an endcap. Should be in regular place as it can be used for commercial cooling equipment too off season.

Bought one can to used on outside condenser coils. After the foam disappeared, used garden hose and cleaned the coils. Will buy several cans to use on the evaporator coils. Went to vacuum but need the foam and probably several applications to get them clean. Have read that a garden sprayer is good to wash down afterwards, but it can't have been used for pesticides, etc. Have been having a problem getting the temp down even as sun sets. Can't believe got any air through those dirty coils. Had a small problem with spray but the other reviews game me some help with this.

HVAC was not cooling properly, used this product on air handler coils, condensation cleans foam away, no need to hose off. Followed up with stronger coil cleaner for heat pump, low water pressure rinse on outside unit coils, changed all filters in air returns and air handler, unit works like new and has a fresh new smell. This should be in every DIY's tool bag for annual a/c tune up!

I just had my AC serviced last week even though I try to maintain it clean. Freon and all other aspects of it were good. They recommended that I do a coil cleaning since the fins were pretty dirty. The service guy said they normally charge between $185 and $250 depending on time to clean. They use a foam like cleaner that gets sprayed on and then either washed off or the coil condensation would rinse away, and there was no need to remove the coil for cleaning. I decided to search for products and do it myself.I purchased this product and was astonished at the ease of using it. I used a wet vac with a soft brush end after it soaked in and allowed to clean the coils, took about half hour total time. Ran my AC afterwards and system was noticeably colder due to the clean coil. I highly recommend this product if you want to save on the AC service charging you up to $250.00 for the same thing.

purchase this product for it's foam application. Turned out to be a very good choice. Cleaned the AC coil really well and left a nice smell in the ac unit once it was turned on. Would purchase this product again in the future.

I seldom write reviews, but since this product performed so well, I decided to let others know about my experience with it. As another reviewer mentioned, it's a good idea to wipe the nozzle off with a wet rag once you quit spraying. I also found that if the spray starts coming back out all splattered when you begin spraying again, that if you turn the can upside down & continue spraying, it will begin to come back to a steady stream & you can then turn the can right-side up again. This splattering seemed to happen as the product was getting low in the can. The bottom line is, it is best to continue spraying as long as possible without letting up. Once you spray an area and see it foaming, it is not necessary to immediately spray it again as it will only drip the excess foam off and waste the product. I actually had to give the underside of my coil fins a second treatment to get them totally clean (it was DIRTY and caused the evaporator coils to freeze), but I waited about 40 minutes while the previous foam treatment totally dissipated. You will see the foam lifting the dirt as it dissipates and if you wipe the fins with a wet rag, you will see how shiny they are. I have a 4 ton unit and used 2 1/2 cans even with the second treatment on the underside. I had purchased 4 cans since they are less that five dollars each (and I didn't want to run out in the middle of the job), and since this product is so good at lifting dirt, I'm sure I will find uses for it on lawn equiptment & other things around the house. It has a strong lemon smell and I did use a fan while working indoors, but it wasn't all that unpleasant.

This product works as advertised. Just make sure to wipe off the nozzle every couple of seconds when you are spraying the product on, otherwise the foam does not penetrate the coils. If you spray the product on and you see it expand through the coils you know it is working correctly.

For the price this product is well worth it. It is easy to use and does a real good job. Cleaned the fins on the air conditioner with no problems. No mess to clean up. I use this product on 16 apartment units and it is quick and easy.

Sprays fairly well, but the head does foam up a bit so keep a rag handy. Left a lemon smell that dissipated after about 12 hours. No complaints.

This product really got in and helped lift the dirt and grime from the coils. The spray was easy to direct to all areas and noticed the improved cooling and air flow. Great value for the money.

My AC coils had not been cleaned for 12 years. The AC was constantly freezing up. I first had to clean the coils with a stiff brush and shop vac to get the caked on dust removed, being careful to not damage the fins. After that I sprayed the AC-Safe cleaner on and it did appear to provide some additional cleaning to the coils. The system works like a charm now. No problems at all. My hope is to maintain the AC using just the cleaner on an annual basis from now on.

I tried this product out on the coil of my central AC system. Despite applying more than 1 1/2 cans of this product to the fins, they still didn't appear anywhere near as clean as when I use a regular non-self rinsing product. This was a big disappointment since the coil is only reachable via a 15 ft ladder and I was hoping to avoid the need to haul a hose up the ladder, but that just wasn't possible. In fact, when spraying horizontally, much of the foam just dribbled down the side of the can from the spray nozzle. Seemed like a waste to me. As such, I can't recommend this to anyone and I would not purchase the product again.

This product does a good job liquefying grease and debris. Also rinses well from condenser coils with garden hose. Only thing is that product doesn't seam to completely go through the entire evaporator coil from front side to the other side of coil. But other than that, great product for price paid.

Used it on an old window air conditioner that a family member gave to my daughter. When I got done with cleaning it the air conditioner worked like new and had not odor coming from it. The family member wishes they had it back instead of buying a new one.

I bought this product to clean my ac unit outside. It did not foam up like expected. It foamed right out of the can so I don't know if it actually cleaned anything. We cleaned it this morning as of now I can't tell if the ac is blowing better.....time will tell.

Used product on evaporative coil that had not been cleaned in years and was icing up. Coil is hard to access due to pipes on one side and I was concerned about getting product applied on that side. No worries, product comes out as a tight straight stream with plenty of velocity to cover those hard to reach areas. AC blows much colder now and no ice build up. Recommend keeping rag on hand to clean overspray off of nozzle.

I used it on my truck with 190,000 miles on factory a/c and the temp dropped about 5-10 degrees. Now when I get out on a hot day, my glasses fog up cause of the cold air in truck.

This is by far the most effective and safest coil cleaner I've ever found. Recommend flushing the outdoor condenser coil with water first just to remove and loose dirt or debris before applying the coil cleaner. Let the cleaner work for 15 or 20 minutes before rinsing it out of the coils. Also works very well on the evaporator coil inside. Just let the natural evaporation do the rinsing. Greatly improves heat exchange efficiency of the system reducing energy cost. A++++++ product!!!!!!!

My air handler was gunked up so bad that it took the whole can. I would give it excellent if it could have handled that kind of gunk without having to use a hose and a wet vac. If your coil doesn't have an inch of grime you probably wont even need to rinse.

My window a/c was really clogged with dirt, etc. Just spray it on, use the cap to remove debris and turn on the a/c. The condensation washes the dirt and cleaner off and out the back. I used water in a spray bottle to wash off the grime, then re-applied and then turned on the a/c.

The compressor in my central AC until kept overheating and shutting off. I couldn't get the temp below 75 in my house. I used one can and sprayed it all over the evaporator coil(it's the coil after the air filter) which hadn't been cleaned in 4yrs. I turned the thermostat to 68 and let the AC run for several hrs. I also used a shop vac to get as much gunk as possible off of the coil. No problems now. I plan on using it every 6 months to keep it maintained.
