I thought that it would stop my dog from getting up front. He figured out how he could step right over it the second time he was alone. He ate my AC nob and my gear shift of my 4 month old car. If he were a little smaller, or it was a bit higher, it would be perfect. As for visual problems, they could put a clear plastic panel in.

This is good for cars, but for SUV's it covers the backseat airflow..

This is great for keeping the dogs from jumping into the front seat during car trips. It is by no means toughly built, but it's inexpensive and in my opinion would hold up well to most dogs.In response to Stina:I don't know how it could not be to scale. It hooks under the headrests on the front seat, therefore it goes to the same point in every car. If it were taller it may start to interfere with your view out the rear windshield. In any case, from the photo it should have been clear what height this barrier goes to.

It is NOT to scale with the picture of the dog in the backseat. Even our smallest dog can easily put his head over the partition, and it is so flimsy that the netting has ripped and the dogs have stretched out the top. The only reason I haven't taken it down yet is because it actually makes a nice map holder for our Jeep. It's a great idea, but it needs to be stronger and taller. Too bad.

Fits perfectly and does the job. The price was incredibly reasonable. Good construction and looks to be holding up well. We have two small dogs (about 12 pounds each) so I'm not sure how it would work with very large dogs. But for our needs, this is perfect!
