Product Details

This monitor detects baby's slightest movements and alerts you if absolutely no movement is detected for 20 seconds. An optional "tic" feature is available on the monitor. If the Sensor Pad senses movement, a tic sound will be heard into the Parents Units. The 'tic' sound can be disabled without removing the movement monitoring. This monitor also has sound transmission and can be used as movement and sound monitor or as sound monitor alone.

Note: Your crib must have a hard flat surface. If it does not, just place a piece of masonite or a board under the mattress and place the Sensor Pad on top of the masonite and under the mattress. Follow installing instructions in the manual and online at www.angelcare-monitor.com. Range up to: 300ft.

This monitor saved my son's life! He had sleep apnea and twice when he was 4 months old, the alarm went off and I had to wake him to get him to breathe. My son is now 3 and we just moved him to a toddler bed and put the monitor away. I would recommend this product to any parent. You will definately sleep better at night with this in place.

Out of all the items my daughter received from showers, and purchased herself, this was definitely the best money spent. My granddaughter would not sleep on her back; no matter how tired she was, she would sleep for just 10-15 minutes before waking up when placed on her back. We ended up holding her when she was sleeping just so she, and we, could get rest! With the recommendation from a stranger in the monitor aisle, we looked at this monitor and decided to try it. It was definitely the best money we spent on a baby item. We still try the back, but when sleeping on her stomach we feel totally comfortable. It beeps once if there is no movement (breathing) or sound in 20 seconds, and an alarm goes off in there's no movement or sound in 30 seconds. There's a parent monitor that can be moved around wherever you are, but even without that, the alarm can be heard from two floors away. I would highly recommend this monitor!

This product was purchased in May 2005 and has been used pretty much NONSTOP since then. We did not use the movement sensor very much. We use it for a baby monitor only. Plus, we have an additional listening unit (the biggest perk from our original purchase). I would recommend this product to any new parent! It's been GREAT!

I've been using this sound monitor and movement sensor with my 4 week old daughter and have no complaints so far! Her room is only about 10 steps from our room but the movement sensor gives me peace of mind so that I'm not running in to check if she's breathing every 10 minutes! We have put her in her crib since Day 1. We have not had any issues with static and have only had a handful of false alarms with the movement sensor (which we realized were all our fault because we didn't place her in the dead center of the crib). We put a piece of particle board under the mattress and put the sensor on top. I just wish I had purchased the version of this with the two parent units because I end up bringing the single parent unit around the house with me during the day and it runs on a battery (whereas it is plugged into the wall in our room at night). Can't comment on the range because our home is only 1500 sq ft and I haven't taken the monitor out of our yard.

Older mom. Worried about 1st born daughter so small 5 lbs. 11 oz. born several weeks early and then 6 weeks premature twin boys, one 3 lbs 6 oz the other 4 lbs 2 oz. - scarey but pretty good weights. Used for my daughter and then bought a second 1 for when the twins were born. Cannot say enough about how wonderful this product is. I'd rather have the alarm go off falsely once in awhile then have something happen to one of my babies. Gives you peace of mind and some really good sleep knowing the sensor alerts you if needed. One of my boys had sleep apnea early as a toddler and his monitor use to go off alot. (had surgery) If not for this monitor, who knows what would have happened when he was a preemie or even after that. Boys also have a higher rate of SIDS too which I also worried about. I loved this product. Had no extra noise problems or frequency problems as some reviews have stated. Maybe they need to check out what other electrical products are in the baby's room which could cause disturbance.

After a friend's child passed away from SIDS, I decided to go with a movement monitor for peace of mind. Despite trouble shooting, the movement alarm constantly gave false alarms. I had to stop using that feature because it was driving me crazy getting up multiple times a night thinking my baby wasn't breathing. Using the monitor with just the noise sensor feature was medicore at best. There was a lot of buzzing/humming when the volume was on at all. After about 9 months, the entire thing stopped working all together. There are many other monitors that would do the job for less money. That being said, if this movement monitor saves even one baby, it is well worth the frustration of false alarms. It was not a good fit for our family.

This has had many reviews. Mine is to co-sign all the 5 star reviews. I purchased 7 years ago and I still use the Audio part (without pad) in my seven year old room because he has severe allergies and asthma. Also use for play dates and my son knows it. I purchased The newer model with Room temp reading in 03/2012 for my second son. I actually use the pad on a pack and play as that is what my second is sleeping best in. I have placed towels on the bottom to make the bottom flat and balanced it on the cross bar supports under the padded bottom. Works FABULOUS. I know it is not recommended, Just telling you what I have done. Love the room temp and vibrate alert features. Still works FABULOUS, I have gone about 7 houses away (in a suburban subdivision setting) and could still hear clearly all going on.

I bought this monitor when I was pregnant with my son because I was petrified of SIDS. It was the best purchase I have ever made. I put my mind at ease. We had very little problems with false alarms, the only times it ever went off with out reason was when he started moving a lot and he scooted to the corner of the crib and it couldn't pick up the movement. But I truly believe it saved his life, it went off one night when he was around 3 months old, we ran in to find him face down in the mattress (he could only roll back to front at that point)I don't know if he actually stopped breathing or not, but his nose was completely covered by the mattress so I don't know how he could have been breathing. I honestly don't even want to think about what could have happened if we didn't have the angelcare. I used it until he was over a year old! The only reason I stopped is because the cord for the sensor pad broke off while I was moving the crib, I still use the audio monitor though. I am pregnant again and I will be buying one to use with this baby too, I think Im going to try the video version though!

I used this with my 2nd and 3rd child, and I am planning on upgrading as my 4th is on the way. After adjustingthe sensitivty levels, this product was great. My daughter had actually stopped breathing, and the alarm went off, after rushing to the crib, we were able to wake her up. I had zero problems using this product, it was easy to set up, easy to use. Best baby product I have ever used, and a MUST have for all parents. If its your first or 10th, You need one of these.

Received this monitor for a shower gift and was thrilled based on the reviews. Set it up and fought with the movement monitor. L.O. is a sound sleeper and does not move much while sleeping so even at the most sensitive we were getting constant false alarms. Turned off the movement monitor and switched to just sound. After 3 days that stopped working. Even 2 feet away there was no transimission. Wound up returning for a different prodcut.
