Product Details

The Angelcare Deluxe Movement Sensor with Sound Monitor detects your baby's slightest movements, even while she sleeps. The under-the-mattress Sensor Pad detects your baby's slightest movements and alarm will sound if no movement is detected for 20 seconds, the Sensor Pad sends a signal to the Nursery Unit which sounds an alarm alerting you to check your baby. If you are out of the baby's room, the two portable Parents' Units (Sound Monitor) will pick up the alarm as well as other nursery sounds. In addition, there is an optional "tic" feature. If the Sensor Pad senses movement, a tic sound will be heard into the Parents Units. The two Parents' Units give you the flexibility of always leaving one in your bedroom while moving the second unit to the room you are in while your baby is sleeping.

Note: Your crib must have a hard flat surface. If it does not, just place a piece of masonite or a board under the mattress and place the Sensor Pad on top of the masonite and under the mattress. Follow installing instructions in the manual and online at www.angelcare-monitor.com.

Range up to: 820ft. 8 channels. Rechargeable batteries and charging cradles included with the Parents' Units. 3 AC adapters included. Can be used as sound & movement monitor, movement only monitor or sound only monitor.

So pleased with the motion monitor. Parents and visiting grandparents slept peacefully knowing the monitor would alert us with one beep if the baby experienced a 10 second apnea (stop breathing) episode and sound an alarm if the baby experienced a 20 second apnea episode. Suggestions: 1) Online and box description should mention the need for a solid surface under the mattress upon which the sensor is positioned. If daughter-in-law had not forewarned us we would not have acquired a ΒΌ" piece of plywood before bringing the baby home from NICU. 2) Directions need to be corrected: Instructions mention the aqua colored side of the sensor is to be placed in the up position. However, the instructions also state that the white side is to placed in the up position. Luckily the white side has "this side up" printed on it. 3) Upon reading the instruction it appears that the monitor cannot be used until after 17 hours of charging. However, it is only the remote parent unites that must be charged before use. Would definitely purchase again and recommend to others with the above NEEDED information.

Never figured out how to hook up the sensor pad but the monitor seemed to work great. Loved all the display features especialy the temperature reading. But after 1 year the display doesn't work it still senses sound but not as well as it used to. Also strange as we used 1 monitor all the time and the other just sat when I switched them.....the second monitor which was barely used...was the same as the first...no display.

This monitor has 2 major design flaws. First and most important is the size of the motion pad. This pad works well in small sleeping areas such as a bassinette. However, as soon as it is moved to a crib it will constantly go off. We have tried different sensitivity settings but to no avail. It would be nice if the next model had more of a rectangular shape so it would cover more area. But for now, expect to get woken up multiple times a night as soon as your child is sleeping in a crib and can roll. Secondly, the degree sensor is very touchy and if it happens to go off you have to power everything off to reset the temperature or hold it up to the vent to cool it down or heat it up before being able to reset it. This is one of my favorite things to do in the middle of the night. So basically this function is useless depending on where in the room you set it. I would think twice before spending the money on a monitor that will keep you up more than your infant will.

This product has a tendency to go off often, but on more than one occasion it has gone off becase of true non-movement, and that makes all the false alarms with it. We purchased this when we had our first child and the alarm went off. I rushed into his room, and it appeared as if he wasnt moving. When I grabbed him he gasped. When we had our second son, I moved it to his crib. Just tonight it went off again. I touched his face and he did not repsond. I grabbed him and his head flopped back. I patted his back aggresively and he gasped. I know for sure he was not breathing, and this monitor alerted us in time to save his life.

I bought this product before my first baby was born because I liked the idea of having an alarm to alert us of any dangers in the middle of the night. And it has worked beautifully. We were able to figure out how to make it work in her bassinet also. My daughter had an issue when she was younger that made her more susceptible to breathing stoppage, and this allowed us to have that extra layer of alertness even in the middle of the night. Now that she is a toddler, we plan on continuing to use it when we convert the bed so that we will know immediately if she sneaks out of the bed at night. Can they make something like this for teens? The microphone on the unit is very sensitive and we can hear every little sigh. Very comforting for nervous parents! The only downsides are the occasional police radio transmission I'll catch on the handheld unit (a little disorienting at first but you get used to it, and from what I hear most baby monitors have this issue), and the occasional false alarm on the motion sensor from the baby moving too far from the sensor pad. Once you play with the positioning of the sensor pad a bit, that should resolve. The range on the handheld unit is fantastic. I have a fairly big house and I can move anywhere inside the house as well as enjoy the back porch or do my gargening while the baby sleeps without losing signal. Also, the unit alarms to tell you you're moving too far away. Helpful information to know.

This monitor is great! I have been using it for 3 years and am so impressed. This came recommended from a co-worker who knew someone who lost a child to SIDS. It seemed a bit expensive, but I decided it was worth it. I'm so glad I did! It did take a few adjustments to make sure the sensitivity was at the right level, but has provided such security and peace of mind knowing that my baby was breathing all during the night and during naptime. I love the temperature control too. I have used this monitor in a pack 'n play, crib, toddler bed, and even a regular full-size bed. Works great in all of them.

This monitor works fine for listening to your baby's room, after you get it set up and get the alarms (that go off in the baby's room) turned off. The design however is terrible. If you happen to configure anything improperly, or if you change a setting on the device to which you are listening, you have potential to set off alarms from the unit sitting in the baby's room. For some reason, Angel Care felt it was useful to have a very loud speaker that beeps at your baby if something isn't right. It's totally ridiculous. Get a different brand with a better design that lets your child sleep.

With my first child, I really found this to offer me piece of mind to get some much needed sleep. The first few nights home we did not have it set up and I barely got any sleep - then after we set it up, my husband and I moved back into our bedroom and relied on the monitor. We both slept well and were able to hear our little one when we needed. We no longer hear every noise he makes. The temperature feature is also useful. I did pick up our baby once and forgot to turn the monitor off and the alarm did not go off - our humidifier was too close and the vibration interferred.

The breathing feature on our monitor never worked for our little girl. I assumed when she was born at 6lbs even that her tiny wieght was the reason we had so many false alarms. But we tried this feature again after she gained 10lbs. Still, the shrill noise that had parents crashing and cursing, and woke a safe, happy sleeping baby. For the money, skip this feature that does not work, spend a little more and get a camera one. Customer service sent us new pieces that also did not work, and when I expressed this they told us they could not do anything else for us. I felt strongly that I wanted them to take back the deffective monitor and allow me to get one that worked. Very clear that they would not do this. On the nights when your tiny one has a cold and breathes funny, you want this extra piece of mind that if anything happens, you have a safety measure in place. We paid for this feature, but have never been able to enjoy it, instead we were awakened to false alarms and had to get up to soothe a baby that was fine. Get (not angelcare) a camera monitor that has a temp readout!!
