I received my Nexus 7 shorty after its official release, however there aren't any cases for it! I found this Kindle case that does the trick. It fits a little snug, but it zips up just fine and keeps my Nexus 7 safe.

This is great protection for the Kindle Fire. It's padded inside so if you put it in a purse or bag and it gets jostled around it's well protected. It also has a strap on the outside so it's easy to carry.

Got it for the Nexus 7 and it fits perfectly. Wish it didn't say Kindle on the hand strap since that's not what we use it for. But nice and tough...perfect case.

I bought the Kindle Fire for mostly book reading and needed a case. This case is very compact and provides good protection for my kindle. I travel a lot and keep the kindle in my back pack while traveling. The zipper is nice and durable (so far two months). Wish there was a pocket/pouch on the outside for keeping airline tickets or notes. Nice case for the money.

This is a simple, padded sleeve to keep the Kindle Fire in when not it use. It is padded, but not to the extent of really preventing damage from a large drop, but that is not expected. It does a great job of avoiding scratches and preventing damage from normal bumps and jostling when placed inside another bag.

I'm not a big fan of putting my Kindle Fire in one of those M-Edge cases or something to give it a stand of some sort so you can view it at an angle hands free. I like putting my Kindle Fire in a TPU sleeve and holding it and then putting it away in a pouch. Hence, I bought this item. Yes, it fits like a glove, but realistically, this feels like a modified cosmetics pouch that you could easily get at any convenient store for half the price. The strap and the zipper are made out of plastic and the insides are padded enough where if you dropped it, your Kindle Fire would be safe. I just can't believe something like this is $25. It's perfect for your Kindle Fire if you're looking for the perfect sized pouch, but if you're okay with spending $25 for something that feels like $10 worth of material, then this is for you.

I got this from the local Best But store at an excellent price. I kind of wish it had a separate compartment for a stylus, charging cord, etc. but I knew it didn't have it when I bought it so can't mark it down for that. It seems to be good quality and looks very professional. Can't really ask for more than that.

This case is not going to protect your reader from any major bump or drop. tI will however protect your reader from dirt and dust. The price is way too much for something this simple. You could get the same protection from a large pencle bag. I was also under the impression that my Kindle could remain secured to the cover as I used it. This is not the case. It is just a dust protector for when not in use.
