The vent was well manufactured and I was able to mount it on the old stack. It runs quietly and efficiently.

After a sever ice storm and high winds, my turbine broke and started banging.I bought this model as they didn't have just the turbine head available. It installed on the original stack perfectly with no drilling, so I didn't need to do a complete removal.

This wind turbine really works very well. I have had it for about 6 months now and it is squeak free and still turns easily, even with minimal wind. I installed this in a treehouse, which is actually basically a shed on stilts, that got very hot during the summer months. This product was very easy to install and took about 30 minutes to do. I would recommend this product to anyone who has a shed, enclosed treehouse, or attic that gets very hot during the summer months.

I recently re-roofed my home in Texas and took the opportunity to replace and upgrade my wind turbines, mostly with the intent to improve the look of the house with these more subtle, roof color-coordinated turbines. The originals weren't that old so I wasn't expecting to notice any real difference in the actual cooling of the house, but to my surprise - the turbines turn much more effectively than my previous ones, keeping the attic much cooler in the hot Texas sun and helping to contribute to energy bill savings for me. I've even had a hail storm since installing these, and they have held up remarkably well, keeping both their finish and function. Definitely would recommend to others looking to improve turbine performance, attic circulation, the look of the roof and even bottom line energy bill savings.
