Planks won't stay snapped together on ends and itchips off very easily.Wasted 5 hours on just 3 rows in a 15 x 15 room.Returned the remaining unopened boxes and will try a different brand. This Pergo product should be avoided at all cost.;(

Installation was not difficult. Has texture, colour and look of real wood. Does NOT have an annoying clicking sound. Very appealing visually. Will definitely recommend.

Everyone who sees our floors thinks we sent a ton of money on new wood floors !! It is so easy to keep the floors looking good. Best choice we could have ever made :)

I had the Pergo XP installed by a contactor so I cant comment on ease of installation, however it went down quite quickly. The 10MM thick laminate with the attached underlay is easy on the feet and even without carpet the room is quieter already. It is only a week but this stuff seems quite mar resistant and I am looking forward to enjoying it for some time.

Product is highly recommended due to appearence, ease of install and quality. Looks and feels like real wood with durability of laminate. The 10 mm thickness was a real plus along with the attached padding to help in sound suppression. Our previous floor was very thin and the color was pale. This floor has a rich hickory color but is not too dark.

About a year ago, we installed this flooring ourselves in our family room as a replacement for berber carpet. Installation of the floor itself was a breeze. We did struggle a bit with the threshhold pieces and had to buy a couple extra kits to complete the project. However, that was a small sacrifice for the warmth and beauty this floor brings to our family room. It stands up well to our 2 big dogs and 2 active pre-teen boys. Can't say enough good things about it!

I waited a year to write this review because I have about 300lbs of dog (one is a mastiff puppy) and this floor still looks great after the running and dropping bones etc....looking at another color for our bedroom now. I had real wood installed in our master bedrooom in our old house that cost tripple and after a year it was a mess. Would recommend this for people with big dogs and kids! Super easy to install too.

looking at the boards, they dont look like one another, which makes them look like real boards. Easy to install with a lite tap of a hammer. I installed them at 16" on centers to line up with the floor joist, not 12" that the instructions suggest.

Great product in all respects. Easy to install. Two rectangular rooms and one with a angled entry. None were a problem to lay. Looks fantastic, and two 65 pound dogs think is a great play area with no wear or tear.

We installed about 900 sq. ft. of this laminate flooring in our living room, dining room, hallway & den and we couldn't be happier with the finished product. The planked appearance makes it look more like real wood than other laminate floors at this price point. Installation was a breeze with a 2 person team, one person to cut and one person to lay 4 - 5 rows at a time. Our 10 month old grandson came to visit for a week not long after we finished the installation and he was pushing his toys and trucks around on the floor and left behind no scratches whatsoever proving the durability of this product. We also used the 50' x 4' rolls of 1/4" cork for underlayment which provided extra cushion and sound absorption. We wouldn't hesitate using this product again!

I was fixated on engineered or solid wood but I was frustrated trying to get it they way I wanted at an installed price I wanted when I saw this product. I have two kids and a 120 lb. dog so durability was a concern. I thought this stuff would last and it looked and felt so much like some of the engineered hickory I had been looking at. Plus, with its design I felt comfortable I could install it myself. We did a 300 sq. ft. Master and my wife liked it so much we did the guest room too. It was easy to install as I have a table saw and I bought a new carbide 60 tooth blade for the project which I could tell was wearing down doing the second room. That's how tough the coating is on these. One other lesson learned was to buy the $5-10 door jam saw if you are converting from carpet. I used a coping saw in the first wood with OK results but in the second room I used the jam saw and it went great. Also, we did use the upper level moisture barrier and the extra Styrofoam beading works fine the the pre-installed padding.

This Pergo flooring is very realistic and appears to be extremely durable. The installation is not difficult but it is easy to damage the ends of the pieces if you don not line up the ends exactly right. If they are too far apart they won't interlock and if they are too close, the ends bow up slightly, leaving a raised edge, especially if you use a tapping block, which I highly recommend. Overall, this is an excellent product.

We installed this in our son's bedroom. It looks beautiful, and I think will be fine for our purposes. Do be careful when you install it. Handle pieces and tap them in with care. There were some chips on the edges of a few planks when boxes were opened, but not many. However, there was a consistent chip on the leading edge of every plank from almost every box on the tongue - we don't think it was supposed to be that way - it looked like a fabricating mistake that happened on a certian run at the factory. But the pieces locked into place nicely in spite of it. Would recommend with limits.

My first attempt at laying laminated flooring was on my first story at 1000 sq. ft. The process was easy and the installation went very well. Many people think it's real wood. This item was soon discontinued after my purchase and Highland Hickory was selected as a close alternate for my second story. The end joints on these floor panels are constructed differently than the first story flooring and do not join together very well. It has taken me twice the amount of time to lay the same amount of flooring. If it wasn't for the fact of matching existing flooring I would take the product back. I should have taken the advise of the other reviews that mentioned this may be a problem. I would consider another product line next time.

Some of the boards have been damaged but Home Depot has been very easy to do exchanges. We aren't quite finished our living room but so far we love it. We have been using a jig saw to do the entire project. We watched a lot of videos and purchased the flooring kit that comes with spacers, a pull bar, and knock block. We also purchased a rubber mallet for $5 and a door jam saw for around $10 and those tools have been very helpful. My husband and I have not done too many home projects and this is really a great project for beginners. But make sure you have patience and don't plan on getting it all done in one day unless you are experienced! Buying a floor with the underlay already attached was well worth the convenience. Home Depot has been great at answering our questions along the way, too.

This floor is gorgeous, durable and economical. They installed my large living area and hallway in under 4 hours. Can't believe how much it looks like real wood. The variation is awesome! Super happy! So are my 2 90 lb German Shepherds who love how cool it feels! And I love how they aren't able to put a scratch in it!

We tested this product by dropping a 10 pound dumbbell weight on it, and it didn't even dent! (The same dumbbell test on a piece of another brand of laminate faired much worse.) I used a scrap piece to tap in other boards and the hammer never made a mark on it. I've been using a chair with wheels on this floor for almost two months now, and my 70 pound labrador has been romping all over it, and there's not a scratch or dent anywhere. The only damage was when I dropped the sharp point of a drywall saw tip down onto the floor. That left a tiny mark that I don't even notice. It was easy to install, gorgeous to look at it, and a breeze to clean. We're doing the rest of our house with it now too! LOVE IT!

We have been really pleased with our choice of this product. It looks much better in person than I had imagined, so needless to say I was happy! Our installer even thought it was good, and the real test--my father-in-law (and a wood worker)-- couldn't say enough good about it, even though he was skeptical at the idea. Great product!

I like everything about it. I had installed another brand in a different room and there are several features about the Pergo floors I like more. The tongue and groove snap together easily without much force. The attached padding saves a little time on installation and you don't have to worry about your sheets of padding moving while you install. They are very quiet when you walk on them, no creeking or ticking sounds that are common in laminate floors. People who said they have warping issues, I wonder if they did not leave the instructed 3/8 inch of space around the edges to allow for expansion. I have a large sloppery dog and I was worried the water would warp the floor. It's been 7 months and haven't had a problem yet. I was also afraid the rough looking finish would be too rustic, but once installed it all blends together nicely and looks beautiful. Now I am glad we picked a design with a rougher texture because I think dust and dog fur would be really visible on a smooth shiny floor. We installed the floors in the living room and dining room and will be installing the same floors in the den and kitchen.

I have a very playful Australian Shepard but his nails haven't made a single mark on this floor. Everyone that sees it says the same thing - "It looks like real wood" It is more expensive than most laminates but sometimes you really do get what you pay for

First off, let me say that this is the first time ever installing any sort of laminate flooring. We just bought a new house and the upstairs carpet was a disaster. Decided to go with laminate for the 3 bedrooms, 4 small closets, 1 hallway, and 1 large walk-in closet. Close to 700 square feet in all. It was me and my pregnant wife, took us 2 Saturdays and 2 partial Sundays.I'll just be frank, this flooring makes the upstairs look like a million bucks. Its absolutely beautiful, after we finished this weekend me and my wife just sat in the hallway for an hour admiring it. Looks like wood, doesn't have the fake gloss shine a lot of laminates have. Feels great. Can't say enough about the floor. Nice thick planks. Didn't have a single warped or chipped plank. Home depot delivered 50 something boxes right to my driveway.A couple of observations. If you are new to the flooring take a couple of hours out of your day, and just spend some time watching videos on installation. Also invest in some tools: I went out and grabbed a cheap Miter saw (get the laser one), cheap table saw, and the laminate flooring kit. Also, can't stress this enough, GET A RUBBER MALLET!!!, you'll thank me later. Once you have the tools and a little knowledge installation in a breeze. If you really need to make it look professional, get a cheap jigsaw for cutting around door frames, etc. If you are doing large rooms all the better.Excellent product, you will not be disappointed!

This product is great. Has the look of real hardwood and feels like wood when you walk on it. Installation wasn't quite a "snap" but routine and went together solid. I highly recommend this product.
