I love this stereo. I shopped around a lot before making my purchase. Out of all the stores I looked at Sears had the best price and they had it in stock. It takes less than five minutes to set up and my IPOD worked on the first try. It really sounds so good and appears to be very good quality. I would deffinately recomend this stereo to anyone.

I am very pleased with the product. I purchased this for our kitchen, and it fits the bill very well. Great sound quality for the price. (If you think bass makes music, you will want higher wattage speakers. However, the volume is quite strong.) Had considered an under the cabinet system, but for a little more money you get a compact unit with full features and much better sound quality. The speaker cables could be a few feet longer. I would have gladly paid SONY a few dollars more for the convenience. Buy it.

My "tween" daughter got this for Christmas to use with her IPOD. Turns out she's very happy with it and has no complaints. I have played around with it some while setting it up for her, and it seems very easy to use & has good sound quality.

hooked this up to an old 20gb ipod and it worked fine, no problems. radio reception is average. mp3 cd playing feature is nice. sound is good, a little light on the bass, but inevitable trade off for small size. although the other sony mini systems MHC-e99i? and 79i? have bigger speakers and bigger sound, they have weird 4 wire hookups incompatible with normal 2-wire speakers, and are much more obtrusive for a bedroom setup. though you can navigate an ipod with its remote control, it doesn't show any screen information on its display (not even track names), so you either have to be right next to the unit to see your ipod screen, or know your menu blindfolded. don't know if that's also the case with newer generation ipods, but that limits usefulness of the remote essentially to skipping forward or reverse on tracks while on the ipod. with CD and radio it's more standard, since you can see track numbers, station, etc. from across the room. sears had a good price on this, easy check for store availability and quick pick up.
